Ive been doing karate for six years and im a black belt 2nd dan. The dojo i go to encompasses many different styles including Kenpo, Tai Chi, Shaolin, Kajukenbo, Kung Fu. Recently i have been learning mastery of the Bo and the katana which I need for my next test. _________________ Look i changed my sig!

I don't need Martial Arts I'm a 6''2 crazed super-genius. If you piss me off I'll just snipe you or stab you or crush your head with a brick. If I can't find anything I'll just woop your arse. |

I have studied Martial arts now for 18 years. I started at 8 with Karate and Tae Kwon Do, Around 16 or so I started studying Kenpo. When I got into college I started studying Choy Lay Fut Kung Fu, I guess you could say I am well versed. It is my way of life and has been what has shaped me over the years. Currently I study on my own and I still grow everyday.
O yeah and Andromaton, when I stopped practicing formally I practiced on my own and also taught myself new things. Personally I think the best time to practice is when you have time to reflect on what others taught you. For the past 6 years I have been teaching myself Nunchaku. No one taught me, I learned on my own through a lot of bumps and bruises. At this point in time people say I look like Maxi. And yes that is with double chucks.
Anyway you can do anything if you put your mind to it, even learn Martial Arts.

As for this quote I have one thing to say, size means nothing. This is not a personal shot at you Immune so please take no offense; it's just a basic fact. |

what I meant was that you really couldn't/shouldn't train yourself MA if you don't already know what you're doing. Once you have a solid grip on the principles and the practices then you are able to continue on your own but starting from scratch with nobody to help with direction can be a very big mistake (you can cause major injury to yourself and/or others and/or things). |

I agree Andromaton, but that's the risks people have to take. There would be a lot of ideas/practices that wouldn't be if people didn't take risks. I think it's not if you injure yourself or not, it's what you learned from the experience. |
