In order:
No (Gundam fails)
No (except on Jetstream)
No (Too old)
No (Jetstream again)
No (Too old)
Hell, no (Too "mature")
Not a chance (see above)

If CN still cared about Gundam, they would. They don't seem to anymore, though.

Not on the radar.

Dai Guard
Toonami aired 2 episodes of it back in 2003, but that's all we're getting.
They should have just kept Dai Guard, it's not like Evangelion where it would require editing beyond recognition. It requires almost no editing at all.
Gundam SEED Destiny is what Toonami needs. How is Bandai going to license more gundam profitably if Cartoon Network does not want to help?
Ok these Toonami Jetstream shows like Prince of Tennis and Zoids Genesis, I take it that these could be on Toonami next year.
Slayers and Gun X Sword I can understand but Tenchi Muyo! GXP is long overdue. I also suggest that Toonami or Adult Swim get the Ryo-Ohki 3 OVA episodes. _________________ [adult swim] Whacktion plays lame shows like Ghost in the Shell, Fullmetal Alchemist and Samurai Champloo.

Dai Gaurd aired as part of Giant Robot Week. It was basically "on loan" to CN from (I'm blanking on the name of the company.) Since that same company came out with their own network around that time, they weren't going to let CN air one of their shows in it's entirety.
So it wasn't as simple as "Hi, I'm Cartoon Network, I don't want to keep Dai Gaurd because I'm Cartoon Network!"
Cartoon Network expressed interest in Slayers years ago. Immediately after, Fox Kids snatched it up for a lot more money than CN was willing to pay, JUST so that CN couldn't air it. Currently, if I'm not mistaken, Diseny owns it, since they bought Fox Kids.
See, these things aren't simple as "....ME CN! ME TAKE!" Wish they were though . . . _________________ anime is teh s uck

I somewhat doubt it. None of the Reactor shows ever came to Toonami, and online and TV rights are two different things to acquire. Unless CN puts out some extra money to get these on TV, history might repeat itself.
Except maybe MegaMan: NT Warrior. Kids' WB! can pretty much assure that. I'd rather see it on Miguzi, though. _________________ Toonami visual schedule - UPDATED AUGUST 2, 2015

If Gundam SEED failed after a steady 6-month timeslot on Toonami, I don't see how you can expect Destiny to fare any better.

As a proud owner of all video Tenchi-ness, I can safely say that GXP is too much for Toonami. Plus the dub blows.
Also, FUNimation is holding onto it for their "FUNimation Channel" syndication package.

I think it's been long enough that the rights to Slayers and Vision of Escaflowne have reverted back to Enoki Films and Bandai, respectively.
Unfortunately for us, it's too late for CN to be interested in showing them. _________________ "When I became a man, I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up."- C.S. Lewis

Whether they got TV rights to it as well is still up for debate. _________________ "When I became a man, I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up."- C.S. Lewis

Maybe, just maybe, (I can dream right) they will have some more to work wit h in Jetstream and be able to air shows that might seem a little too mature. Since I don't see Adult Swim Fix airing original content very soon maybe there could be a home for some of the more grown up anime on Jetstream, without messing with Toonami's on air message.

Daikun, in defense of Toonami's abandoning Gundam you should listen to the Toonzone podcast #8. Chances are you already know what they're going to say though: They love Gundam but it doesn't draw numbers and they've already talked CN into buying 4 series that didn't and producing one that didn't either. _________________ JKyle.com (Because bad things happen to good people) Cast in the Name of God
