Don't mean to sound negative. But those situations can suck, big time. Yah, it's happened to me. Be friends with a really good looking girl that you like, but she dosn't go out with you. It's like punching yourself in the face just to scrath an itch.*if that makes sense* Bottom line for me: it didn't work out.

Ohhhhh the pain and sorrow.......... Sad

End feeling of pitty here.

So, the only rational thing to do is kill this girl who is tormenting you. Now I suggest gripping her neck tightly with your hands.

Oh silly people.

In one sense, it's good to date a girl that you're already friends with. You know her a little and can do sweet, personalized things much better. Plus she already knows she enjoys time with you.

The problem is most people don't realize this.

However, there is a deffinite difference between 'friend' and 'god-awful-kill-me-now-to-end-the-pain-friend-state.'

But is that really "dating", or just "hanging out together"?

You see, my best friend here in Miami is a tall, incredibly beautiful, WELL developed natural red that’s into Anime/D&D/DDR/Cosplay(Elf usually)/Video games/Computer games/Anything fantasy role-playing/LARP/Warhammer/ect.

Yeah the girl of your fantasies really exists.

Every guy in the city falls instantly in love with her. Not just the geeks, her perfect model looks win over the non-geeks as well.

She has a boyfriend, and sadly it’s not me.

BUT, I still qualify for the job of bodyguard. I literally have to crush multiple guys’ dreams daily by beating them off of her. She's truly a great person and a great friend, and I am willing to help her out any time any day, but walking around with her seems like I’m in a final fantasy game... with all the random battles around every corner. I should write an anime based on my life. Ahh well, this concludes my rant.

Wow, Mith you just gave me the creepy in depth look into the mind of many of my guy followers...er, friends...

Which just goes to show me I have all the more reason in saying no to your type.Yes,Kero is vain to some amount, and a wink and a smile to get a bargain from a geek goes a long way.Yet look on the bright side Mithie, you'll be well used! I meant that in a nice way, like in the friend, bodyguard usage. Wink

it's not always like that, I have plenty of friends that are cute girls don't cause that kind of frustration because, well they're my friend. Every now and again you get the one that you really like and they just shove you right into that position. I'd rather be in the friend zone than to have her hate me.

My best friend in the world is a very attractive and very nice female. But I've never had a crush on her a day in my life. Don't know why. She'd be perfect for me. But we're super close friends. And it's cool.

Heh, the funny thing is that I have a few options open on the mainstream side of girls, but I always turn them down. I can't stand having a non-geeky girlfriend. They're way too boring to me. From what I hear I'm a fairly attractive guy; tall, black hair, green eyes... I don't know what girls are looking for. When I tell a girl who hates anime that I'm not interested cause they aren't geeky enough for me they either think I’m crazy or just start spreading rumors that I’m gay... which isn't too fun.

Wha??? Naw man. Seriously, go into school one day and just start shouting "I"M GAY" over and over.

While it won't really attract the ladies, it gets a ton of laughs. Well, maybe don't go that far, but I have a friend who's trademark phrase for a few months really was "I'm gay." And the second part "You can even ask my girlfriend." His parents started reffering to him as "The gay son." But he's straight. It's just a joke.

In all honesty, people are too homophobic. So people say your gay? Big f***ing deal.

By the way, my New Years Resolution this year was to call every homophopic person I meet by the name of 'Princess' until such a time as they are no longer homophobic. It's the best resolution I've ever come up with, and the easiest to stick to. It is now one of my moral principles.
