Since Big-O Season 2 premiers on our side of the Pacific, I think that's just some very odd promo material for the first season airing on the Japanese Cartoon Network. _________________ "KUSANAGI!" |

Actually, Big O 2 has already begun airing in Japan, so it can't really "premiere" here. I still can't figure out what that promo is for. Maybe it's for a DVD? It says April 25th on it. Let me see what CDJapan says about the DVD.... Nope, CDJapan has the release date for the first DVD as May 23. Anyone else have an idea?
edit: Oh, wait, I think I've got it. It must be an add for THIS boxset:

It's almost enough to make me want to buy a DVD player and mod it to play region 2. Almost. If the booklet were in English, that would be the clincher.

Ah-ha! ANN posted the answer:
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/article.php?id=3308
"Sunrise's official Big O website (Japanese) announced today that the first Big O DVD boxed set, with the first 13 episodes, will be released on April 25th in Japan, silmutaneous with the Japanese Toonami premier of the second season.
The set will include four volumes with 13 episodes and will include both English and Japanese audio tracks, but no subtitles.
Later, on May 23rd, the first volume of season 2 will be released on region 2 DVD. It will hold 2 episodes and come with an empty artbox for the remaining DVDs. Unlike the first season, season 2 will be limited to two episodes per DVD in Japan."

I just wish that they would hurry up with the second season.
At this rate, I wouldn't care if it was one episode per disc...

Lojah Smiss! You signed up for an account.
Sorry, Spookmonkey, I didn't see that. But if you knew the answer, why didn't you post in response to my original question?

Probably on account I has came long enough to post the news. Stupid homework. Nothin like over a good 80+ hours of homework to do in less than two weeks. Actually a little over one week. I'm screwed. _________________ "Veni. Vedi. Spooki." - Julius Caesar

So I read this thread as a fan of Big O. And something strikes me as odd. Toonami in Japan. If Toonami in america is to showcase Japanese anime for americans. Wouldnt Toonami in japan showcase american animation for japanese? That would be the logic. You know run Hannah Barbara, Looney Tunes and maybe Boomeraction in 2 hour blocks weekdays? |
