Venture Bros is the opposite of Johnny Quest to me. Some of the characters seem like Johnny Quest characters too. Instead of the typical good guys win theme Venture Bros goes into the villians lair, and create a funny plot that the villian conducts. The wierdest villian to me is the Monarch. His schemes are out of this world. |
I could pick this apart all day, so I'm just gonna go after your sig. for one, get the freaking quote right, and don't cite "Spidey's Uncle" as a source. I'd tell you his actual name, but I don't want you to keep that as your sig anyway. Throw on some InuYasha quote or something. _________________ I am Jack's Fight Club reference. |

I still seemed to have missed a couple episdes but thanks to the new nightly reruns i'll catch up.
I wont hide this im a big fan of the stuff Patrick Warburton does. I just think that voice is so unique that it needs to be used more. And lately hes popping up in more things.
Nobu the helmets at the end was the first point i caught the easy riders refernce to.
"Do you realize you boys are going 15"
Some of the things they get away in that show seem to go past any other show CN's done. No matter what the hour its shown.
Favorite line

"It's always cold in Syberia..."
Does it cross the line? Maybe. Is it more than CN has done before? I think there's a few SeaLab episodes you missed... _________________ I am Jack's Fight Club reference. |

Actually im catching up on my Sealabs and yes they have pushed that line farther havent that. But they do it as double entrendres (well except for debbies breasts). Where Venture Bros comes out and smacks you in the face.
For the more PC sex joke in Venture Bros look at the docking sequence with Giantium 1. For the far less PC think about the college episode sequence with Brock in the upper bunk. Or the boys finding Brock with the space monster in the space episode.
Sealab does it as a joke where Venture Bros plays it from the other side.
Oh and I the only run who remembers the first Sealab 2020? I remember watching them as a kid |

Yeah, Quin humping Debby and her yelling out "It's sooooo BIG!" is much more understated. _________________ I am Jack's Fight Club reference. |

Yo! I'm new and trying to make a music video but I cannot find the Venture Bros Trailer Music. If someone has a sound file, could they give me a copy please. It would be most appreciated! |

Why not just download the trailer and rip your own audio? I imagine that'll be faster than asking someone else around here to do it. _________________ "When I became a man, I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up."- C.S. Lewis

Actually that's the problem...I don't know to rip audio from videos. And I don't think I have the right computer programs. All I have is Windows Movie Maker (not entirely sure what programs) |

Since the season 2 premiere was last Sunday (and is streaming all week on Adult Swim Fix [rerunning this Thursday at 12:30AM if you can't get it]), I figured this would be a good time to resurrect this thread.
So, what'd you think of the season premiere? I personally loved it, and I can't wait to see more! _________________ Toonami visual schedule - UPDATED AUGUST 2, 2015 |

I was indifferent to Venture Bros. until Sunday night. That episode was simply brilliant.
Also, Best Death = Running with Scissors. Hands down. Even more so because they were SAFETY scissors. _________________ anime is teh s uck

Same here cp, I was never a big fan of the series. But that ep was just great. I loved see how many different ways they died. _________________ "I'm just very selective about the reality I choose to accept." - Calvin
