Constant reruns of the first season are degrading on what little integrity this series has.I'm just wondering if AS will ever play the second season or if they're gonna rerun it until it's dead and decayed. _________________ It's the way that you feel , it's the truth in your eyes, you've got wings upon your back and you can fly,you're up against the world and you still rise. |

Nobody knows, or at least is talking.
It's not on the Adult Swim weekday schedule that starts mid-January. _________________ "When I became a man, I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up."- C.S. Lewis

Isn't it? I thought they were going to play Cowboy Bebop, Inu Yasha, LupinIII, and Yu Yu Hakusho, aside from Futurama and Home Movies. _________________ anime is teh s uck

Yes, it's listed, but no new episodes in the near future.
I'd buy the DVDs, but I know that as soon as I do FUNimation will release a box set. _________________ "Robots don't say 'ye'."

I want new eps on AS!
They start over again (what is this the 4th or 5th run? I lost count) on Wed. Feb. 19th.
Then they start over again for Toonami on March 3rd.
Oh well... _________________ "Robots don't say 'ye'."

I'm going to watch it on toonami, at least until I can see how much they have cut out. We all know that nearly all of what they got away with on AS isn't a toonami style edit. Which brings me to the great question. Will Yuske survive the editing? I'm not sure that I could watch somthing that edited after seeing it on AS. _________________ To do two things at once is to do neither. —Publilius Syrus, Roman slave, first century B.C. |

Found a site that said this.
Yu=Ghostly
Yu=Playful
Hakusho=White book, report
The title is made up of 4 chinese characters that don't really have a particular meaning when put together. It has been translated as Poltergeist Report by Central Park Media. A more direct translation would be Spiritual Activity Report.
Oh, and why do we have two of these topics.. _________________ Bang. |

Well, so much for accurate translation of titles. Would you like to be the four-day-old intern responsible for fitting all that on the front of the DVD box (if it were animated, of course)? Sure Poltergeist Report and Ghost Files are not as accurate as "Spiritual Activity Report," but we're too lazy to care about correctly breaking the language barrier. We're just content to skip over it.
As for why there are two Yu Yu Hakusho threads, maybe it's a posting race; see who can get to 100 posts first. Ooh! Ooh! I pick Zechs for my team! _________________ Rycel's Death Count on this board: 7

I thought that I saw the DVD box labeled with "Ghost Files" for the Americanized translation. Maybe I was wrong.
Zechs, to answer your question, after checking the dates, this thread was brought from the bottom of the forum after being inactive for several months, the other was started with the express intent of talking about what we are talking about now. _________________ To do two things at once is to do neither. —Publilius Syrus, Roman slave, first century B.C. |

No, that's what FUNimation translated it into.
I imagine they figured "Yu Yu Hakusho" was still more marketable than "Ghost Files" or "Poltergeist Report" or whatever.
Especially since "Ghostbusters" was taken... _________________ "When I became a man, I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up."- C.S. Lewis
