Don't terrorists have anything better to do than bomb things?

They get pissed off and take it out on innocent people.

Dill, I hope nobody you know got hurt.

Last I heard, 37 dead, over 700 injured. I'm sure some of the injured will transfer over toe the former number.

One of hte thoughts I've had is that, London was just named the home of the 2012 Olympic Games. 12 hours later this starts. But it takes longer than that to plan and coordinate something like this. Meaning, I wonder if there was a plan in every single city that was up for consideration, and they went with the winner.

Scary thought. But I would not be surprised to find out that I was right.

Gah, why can't people be more like Gandhi . . .

I agree, and the G8 summit being here with all the world leaders? A good way to get attention from them...

This tottally came out of left-field. London was believed to be one of the safest places for American's to still travel. What really shocked me was realizing this was the largest attack on the U.K since WWII. You don't realize how good piece is until it's taken away.

The death toll is higher. In fact, they expect well over 50 people dead. Some of the train cars are trapped in unstable areas in which no one can go because it is too dangerous and may cave in. I hope nobody's friends in LOndon got hurt.

Exactly Zechs why is it taken away? Britian will capture or at least name the people involved for one reason. They have camera's EVERYWHERE. So they have to sift through the film but they'll know who did it. And its starting to look like it was brits who did it. Brits of middle eastern origan but British nationals.

The british people have done their morning and are going back to normal life. They are a strong willed people who wont let terrorism win now or ever.

They did, in fact, make one arrest, and believe that one of the men involved was killed in one of the blasts. Also, while the investigation was still going, authorities discovered a vehicle with explosives in it.

Just thought I'd update you.

Update:

Three of what British officials believe to be five terrorist bombers are thought to have been killed in the blasts. One of the suspects has been arrested thanks to an inadvertant call to the police from his mother, and the man that they believe organized it all is still on the loose.
