I enjoy buying extinct systems, because you can get some great games for dirt cheap prices. The only problem is that they are hard to find sometimes (unless you have game retailers in your area that specifically resell used games, like FuncoLand or other similar stores). Which, again, is why eBay is such a great place.
$5 for a perfect working copy of the original Mega Man for the NES? No problem, Mr. Crazy Loner Who's Selling All Of His Crap To Support His Drug Habit! I'll gladly spend the extra ten bucks to ship that bad boy from Kuala-Lampur or wherever the hell you've dug up this artifact of videogaming history.
Yes, emulators are fun and cool, but there's nothing like the proud feeling you get when your 12 year old NES is still able to play a 10 year old copy of a game you haven't played in 8 years or more. And YES, I have the original front-loading NES too! You know, the ones that always fall apart after a while. You don't know an old-school gamer's pride until you see him blow the dust off of his Atari or his NES and get that bitch to work without a terrible flickering screen or the blinking orange screen of death.
The smartest move I ever made was to buy the Dreamcast when they went kaput. I'm now addicted to Grandia 3, gotten all of my friends hooked on Soul Caliber and Power Stone 2, and buying great near-mint games for practically nothing! All hail progress!
*waiting for the next Next-Gen system to die so he can quickly pounce upon it like a hungry scavenger* _________________ "The principles you live by create the world you live in; if you change the principles you live by, you will change your world." -Blaine Lee

Simmer down there sparky. Geez, I start a topic and it manages to gain 2 pages of responses before I reply. Yes, I do realize that the VB did suck, It did give me eye strain, and it was a lemon from the start. But, I want one because I am starting to collect the game systems I used to have before my parents pawned everything. I loved the virtual boy and especially the games Galactic Pinball, Red Alarm, and Teleraboxer. St, I have looked HIGH and LOW for the damn roms of the VB but All I can find are the emulators or games made by the makers of the emulators. And since we can't post where to find roms, either PM me the link to a working site or shut the hell up.
I have looked into ebay and I may head down that road, but I wanted to know if anyone had one or had any of the games that they would be willing to sell.

NES? *thinks* Oh yeah, I got one of those, I still play it too. I have about 30 games for it. All the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles games ^^, Mission Impossible *a classic!* Mario 1-3 *3 is my fav* Paintball, Silent Scope, Final Fantasy 1, Dragon Warrior 1 and 2, Double Dragon 2, and my all time favorite, Bill and Ted's Excellent Gaming Adventure.
As for the VB I hated it.. then again i was only 12 when I had it... they break real easy when you throw them against a wall... _________________ FFXI: Heavens Redmage. Level 75

True dat. Except for the Allstars facelift, but that doesn't count.
As for a Nomad, the batteries on those things lasted what, two seconds?

What was that thing for the NES that you jump on the red or blue dots? I think it was for some olympics game. _________________ "Robots don't say 'ye'."

Now just a cotton pickin minute. I have an original front-loader NES myself. It never feel apart, first of all. Second, I have original Metroid, Final Fantasy (currently playing a ROM of it) Megaman 2 and 6, Contra and Super Contra, TMNT 2 (Sadly not 1 or 3), and Mario 1-3, in addition to Dr. Mario, amoung other games. And while Mario 3 had better graphics and the racoon mode where you could turn into a statue, I've got to say that the first was the best, just because of the old school goodness. _________________ anime is teh s uck

That was the Track and Field pad. Think of it as a really, really early version of the DDR pads.

I want one!
I think that's the only accessory for my NES that I don't have. I've got the "Duck Hunt" gun, the 4 player adapter, Game Genie, and the wireless 4 player adapter.
All I need is the pad, the arcade stick, all the MegaMan games, and TMNT 3.
TMNT 1 is hard. Even when I cheat I can't beat it. I'm stuck on the level where you first get the turtle van. I can't figure out where to go. I don't suppose there's Prima strategy guides for NES games? Maybe I just suck. Adventure Island is hard too. _________________ "Robots don't say 'ye'."

Wasn't thier a rifle too?
I remember when all gaming was Nintendo. It was so much more peaceful. Back in maybe '94 everyone I knew owned an NES it was like as common as having a toaster...actually even more. _________________ Bang.

you don['t have the glove or the 3d space controller for the NES now do you? then it seems you DONT have all the accessories. don['t forget the controller ring thing that came out for it too (you stood in the moddle of it) time to see if I can find a few pics to show you exactly what I['m talking about. _________________ "Veni.
