Collect 20$, yep second I saw the first preview I knew FOX was going to drag the show through the mud.

Just thought I'd list the shows (at least some of them) TAN will be definitly airing with their descpriptions: (and I know you know what some of these series are)

Burn-Up W: Team Warrior is no laughing matter for the criminals of Neo-Tokyo. Led by the fearless Rio, this top-secret counter-terrorist force will stop at nothing to preserve the peace, or at least their version of it. From assault by bungee jump to giant mecha destruction, Rio, Yugi, Maki, and Lilica spare no extreme in the forging of their own brand of justice. Plagued by kidnapped virtual idols, financial woes and marginally restrained violent proclivities, the members of Team Warrior skate the edge of comic insanity to bring you Burn-Up W.

Dai-Guard: Twelve years ago, the Earth was attacked by giant invaders. To defend our planet, the Earth’s greatest minds and corporations assembled to design a giant robot of incredible power. Unfortunately, as with most government projects, the contract went to the lowest bidder. Fortunately, by the time the robot was ready, the mysterious invaders had already disappeared without a trace. The giant robot became first a curiosity, then a tourist attraction. But now the invaders are back and the only thing in their way is Dai-Guard and a young team of office workers who’ve been supplementing their regular incomes as part time pilots and tour guides. Can these reluctant heroes halt their alien foes while simultaneously concealing the defects in their giant robot? Find out in the first spectacular volume of DAI-GUARD! Includes 5 Earth-Shattering Episodes!

Neon Genesis Evangelion: The year is 2015. As the remnants of the human race cower in subterranean cities, a deadly war is being waged for what is left of the planet. On one side are the mysterious beings known only as the Angels; on the other, the secret agency NERV with mankind’s last hope, the awe-inspiring Evangelions. Piloted by a special team of young warriors, these giant bio-mechanical humanoids are the only thing that can withstand the force of the Angels’ defense fields long enough for the pilots to tackle the massive invaders in brutal hand-to-hand combat! At the same time, NERV struggles to pierce the veil of mystery surrounding the enigmatic Angles. High-tech action, blistering battle sequences, soul ripping drama and spectacular visuals are seamlessly merged in the stunning animated series that ventures beyond the boundaries of space opera and questions the very nature of what it is to be human! Mankind’s last battle has begun in Neon Genesis EVANGELION!

Excel Saga: Contains the chronically over-challenged and understaffed secret ideological organization of ACROSS (total membership: 2), whose goal is to conquer the city of F. Also contains your complete daily requirements of Martian Princesses, afro-wearing Action Heroes, Mysterious Governmental Agencies, Space Butlers, deranged Comic Book Authors, Androgynous Prisoners in Iron Masks, Annoying Roommates, Removable Moustaches and a generous supply of Adorably Cute Aliens Bent on Galactic Domination. Also contains one (1) emergency food supply/dog and one (1) Excel, the most certifiably insane teenage girl to ever walk the face of the planet. Do not use while underwater. Do not use while operating heavy machinery.

Gasaraki: For a thousand years, the Gowa family has secretly manipulated the fate of Japan, first through political intrigue and now through the manufacture of a frightening new weapons system. In a world in which giant robots are real, however, the most powerful weapon of all lurks within a human mind.

GoldenBoy: Get ready for the ultimate road trip as wandering student Kintaro Oe hits the highways of Japan in the wildest quest for knowledge ever! Whether he’s re-programming the president of an all-female software company, check-mating the malicious daughter of a malevolent politician, or defending the sweet virtue of a noodle maker’s daughter, Kintaro’s cross-country odyssey is guaranteed to keep your sides aching with laughter! Take a lesson from the Book of Love with Golden Boy: Treasure Hunt.

Those Who Hunt Elves: No one knows exactly how strongman Junpei, Hollywood actress Airi, teenage Ritsuko, and their T-74 tank landed in a world of elves, but it’s up to Celcia, the elves’ elder, to cast the spell to send them back to their own world. Unfortunately, the spell runs amok and splits into five fragments that now appear as tattoos upon the bodies of five elves, five young female elves that is, somewhere in the land. So begins the quest of Those Who Hunt Elves to strip every elf in they can lay hands on until they find the missing spell pieces. Get ready for the wildest, craziest adventure ever animated as Those Who Hunt Elves prove that stripping can be an art. Contains 6 Episodes!

Kimera: For centuries, there have been legends of devils walking the earth, feeding on the blood of unsuspecting humans. The truth of these legends is revealed when alien craft crash to earth, bearing vampiric aliens. Like wolves hunting their prey, these menacing beings have come to our planet to perpetuate their species, using humans as breeding stock. Now, a young man has fallen in love with Kimera, the vampire who has come to kill him. But in order to save mankind, the aliens—including Kimera—must all die…

Ninja Resurrection: Join a nightmarish journey through faith and betrayal as the infamous warrior Jubei (Ninja Scroll) returns to confront the ultimate evil! Japan, 1614, the Tokugawa Shogunate bans the practice of Christianity and ruthlessly slaughters its adherents. The scattered survivors place their faith in a prophecy of salvation: a Child of Heaven will be born to deliver the faithful from their enemies. Yet, hidden within the same prophecy is a dark omen. For it is written that, should the promised savior falter, he will be reborn as Satan. Now, a new leader, Shiro Amakusa, has arisen to challenge the Shogun’s power. The followers of Christ believe their savior has appeared. However, unspeakable treachery lurks within the Christian stronghold, as the blood-soaked horror of the prophecy is unleashed in NINJA RESURRECTION: THE REVENGE OF JUBEI.

Noir: A mysterious email; a haunting melody. Professional assassin Mireille Bouquet’s world is knocked askew by an unnerving contact from a young amnesiac, Yumura Kirika, whose killing skills are as deadly as Mireille’s, and whose missing memory may unlock the mystery of Mireille’s life as well. With their pasts inextricably linked, Mireille conditionally admits Yumura into her confidence. In uneasy partnership, the two—as NOIR—face a conspiracy that quickly calls on all of their lethal resources. It is a journey through the darkness, searching for a truth that they know will mean their deaths.

Samurai X: Nineteenth century Japan: a land torn by warfare and rebellion where small bands of soldiers seek to overthrow the tyrannical Tokugawa Shogunate. Enter Kenshin, a young orphan whose fighting skills were honed by the great swordsman Hiko. But Kenshin’s soul is embattled much like the killing fields of Japan, his hopes for a new world peace at odds with his life of blood and killing. His world is thrown into further confusion by the arrival of a mysterious woman named Tomoe. Her kindness and attention show him a kind of life he didn’t know existed. Can she help the assassin become a real man? Or does she hide a secret that could destroy everything he has come to depend on? Join the battle and discover the enemy within.

Samurai X: The Motion Picture: The war against the Tokugawa Shogunate ended years ago. But there are some who are not happy with the outcome. Shigure Takimi watched his friends and family get slashed down in the name of freedom and prosperity. Now he and a band of desperate rebels have sworn to settle one final score. Only one man stands in their way: Rurouni Kenshin. Will the former assassin take up his sword to fight again? When Shigure discovers Kenshin’s true identity and his fight becomes a personal vendetta, the young hero will have no choice.

Spriggan: At the top of the world, the ancient artifact known as Noah’s Ark has been uncovered. Buried and forgotten since before the birth of history, it holds the potential to elevate its holder to the status of a god... or to wipe mankind from the face of the Earth in a second! Now, a desperate battle erupts across the planet as two secret organizations race to recover the lost artifact - one seeks to destroy it, and the other wants enslave the human race! Monstrous half-human cyborgs face off against Earth’s ultimate defenders, the secret organization known as ARCAM and their elite agents, the Spriggan, in an epic duel with the future of our species as prize!

Sorcerer Hunters: Is someone kidnapping your local virgins? Are mysterious entities sucking the souls out of the peasants? Do you have a sorceress infestation that just won’t go away? Big Momma has the perfect cure, a rough and ready team of Sorcerer Hunters ready to take on any rouge magic user that crosses their path. If the charms of the voluptuous Chocolate and Tira Misu can’t persuade the naughty wizard to change his ways, then manly Gateau Mocha, suave Marron Glace or Carrot Glace will stop him cold. Don’t miss the titillating beginning of Sorcerer Hunters!

Tekken: Based on the Best Selling Hit Video Game.
The Mishima Conglomerate has been steadily buying up weapons companies, on their way to world domination. But this activity has not gone unnoticed. The 3WC has dispatched agent Jun Kazama to investigate an island hideaway, rumored to conceal a massive weapons manufacturing plant. A skilled martial artist, Jun has been invited to an exclusive tournament held by Heihachi Mishima, the head of the Conglomerate. The victor will receive international renown and a $1 billion prize. But to get the prize, the top combatant will have to survive the tournament, and take on Heihachi himself. Helmer Doug Liman ("The Bourne Identity") is moving aggressively into television production, setting up seven series projects with partner David Bartis via their Hypnotic shingle. The projects include a new spin on the 1970s action classic "CHiPs" for NBC.

Liman has set aside time this spring to direct at least one of the projects, depending on which of the scripts gets greenlit to pilot.

Liman and former NBC Studios topper Bartis formed Hypnotic about two years ago, quickly establishing it as a leading distributor of short films while also forming partnerships with advertisers for branded concepts including the Chrysler Million Dollar Film Festival.

Now, the duo aim to use their relationships with young indie filmmakers and scribes -- as well as years of Hollywood collateral built up via Liman's work on pics such as "Bourne," "Go" and "Swingers" and Bartis' role in developing skeins such as "Will & Grace"-- to establish a small-screen presence.

"One of the foundations of this company has been to discover new talent and help that talent do their first great work," Bartis told Daily Variety.

Liman said he has "really committed" himself to working almost exclusively on TV projects this year, in part because of his desire to oversee projects that more accurately reflect the pop culture mood of the moment.

"Movies take so long to produce and the world can change while you're making them," he said. "TV can be so much more responsive to the zeitgeist and the world."

While CAA-repped Hypnotic is working with more established scribes such as "Fastlane" consulting producer Matthew Carnahan, Bartis said the shingle hopes to bring much-needed originality to network TV by seeking out tyro talent.

"It's so much more gratifying to do a project with someone who's interested in doing the work for the work's sake rather than trying to squeeze you in between rewrites (of feature projects)," he said.

Added Liman: "They bring a freshness that's harder for someone who's churning out product to achieve."

Bartis and Liman cite scribe Dan Loflin as an example. He's scripting "Delusions," an hourlong FX drama project to be produced by Warner Bros. TV in association with Hypnotic and exec producer Lowell Mate that's based on characters drawn from a short film Loflin produced.

Skein will revolve around a man who realizes he's become the world's biggest jerk. He decides to quit his Gotham gig and move home to Alabama to figure out where he went wrong.

"You could only do a show like this by finding a filmmaker from the South without (much Hollywood experience)," Liman opined.

That said, Bartis and Liman explained that Hypnotic will seek a balance of projects, mixing experimental scribes and ideas with more conventional concepts.

"We don't want to put all our eggs in one basket.," Bartis explained.

To that end, WBTV has brought in Hypnotic to work on its remake of "CHiPs" for NBC.

In an unusual move, two scripts are being developed for the project: one by scribe Natalie Chaidez ("Thieves," "New York Undercover"), another by the writing team of Martin Kunert and Eric Manes (MTV's "Fear"). Rick Rosner, who guided the original series, is on board as exec producer.

"The way (WBTV chief) Peter Roth pitched it to us, the goal is to find a way to honor the quiet heroes (of the California Highway Patrol) without getting heavy-handed," Liman said, noting the new show will be set in San Francisco. "At the end of the day, it's still a show about guys who ride extremely fast motorcycles for a living."

Other projects on Hypnotic's first development slate include the following:

"Seattle Rescue," an action-adventure drama from scribe Jorge Zamacona ("Third Watch," "Homicide: Life on the Street"), concerns young, volunteer rescue workers. Spelling Television is producing for UPN.
"It's an attempt to capture the adrenaline and fun of being in your 20s and working in the mountains or rivers," Liman said.

An untitled Las Vegas-based drama for Fox from scribe Mike Armstrong ("Watching Ellie") revolves around a Sin City family dynasty.
"We want to capture the young Vegas of today," Bartis said. "The show's about a family with the sex appeal of Steve Wynn and the interpersonal dynamics of the Binions."

Fox TV Studios is producing.

Michael Duggan ("Millenium," "Secret Agent Man") is penning a drama about young assistant U.S. Attorneys in New York City. It'll be produced via Touchstone and Hypnotic for ABC.

For its lone comedy project, Hypnotic has pacted with Michael Curtis ("Friends") to write a half-hour for UPN about "smart people who do dumb things," Bartis said.

Project will look at the "time in your life when relationships with your friends are more important than what you have to do in your jobs," Bartis added. No studio is attached yet.

I don't know who they picked, but Daredevil is a lawyer, so he's SUPPOSED to be preppy. And look at Toby Maguire. Peter Parker is supposed to be stiff, but not THAT stiff. He pauses abnormally between each word!

In news that will give even your Granny confidence, Steven Spielberg has confirmed that Sir Sean Connery will reprise his role as Jones Sr in the next instalment of Indy's adventures.

Upping the average age of the cast by a couple of decades while injecting his inimitable class and charisma, the least 72-year-old Connery will do is make Harrison Ford look a little more sprightly. Faced with Indy's daily trials of an outsized polystyrene ball, a Nazi thug half his age and a lovely leading lady to cop off with, at 60 years strong Ford will certainly have his work cut out.

And if evil Nazi henchmen and age-old curses weren't enough, Indy's going to have to cope with a phalanx of ex's too, if Spielberg's other comments to the Chicago Sun Times were anything to go by. The bookish lothario will be faced with the ghosts of girlfriends past as his former lovers, including Marion from the original Raiders of the Lost Ark, pop up in the new film. Spielberg commented "I'd like to get Karen Allen back for one soundbite and there are other Indy girls who had smaller roles who will come back." But what about Mrs Spielberg herself? Kate Capshaw aka Willie Scott from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom may not be returning in front of her hubbie's camera. Spielberg explained, "Frank Darabont, who is writing the script, called me and said, 'I'm not sure we can work her into the script too'".

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Mickey Mouse and Kermit the Frog could soon be new best friends.
Walt Disney Co. is preparing to offer about $135 million for Jim Henson Co., a bid that likely would position it to win the assets of the renowned Muppet maker more than a decade after it walked away from the chance, according to people familiar with the situation.

Although Disney's bid would be a steep discount from the $680 million German children's programming giant EM.TV paid for Henson in March 2000, it is still far too rich a price, people familiar with Henson's assets said. They put the value at no more than $80 million.

Four other suitors also are considering bids for the creators of such famed puppet characters as Miss Piggy and Big Bird, but none is likely to pay as much as Burbank, California-based Disney, sources say.

Videogames Awards coming to TNN.

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story2&cid=597&ncid=738&e=7&u=/nm/20021219/tv_nm/television_tnn_dc

Ah want to add one more thing someone said at another msg board:

Quote:
I'm super skeptical.

How is the public going to accept video games a just another art form, similar to movies and tv, when this awards show has awards like:

Hottest Heroine
Coolest Villain
Best All-Around Badass
Best Free-For-All Carnage

What kind of awards are those?

They should have awards similar to the oscars. My list would be like this:

Best Soundtrack
Best Art Direction
Best Character Design (Like Best Costume)
Best Area Design (Like Best Set Design)

And game type awards, too:

Most Balanced Gameplay
Most Original
Most Innovative
Most Immersive
Best <genre> Awards
Best Sound Effects
Best Technical Graphic Acheivement
Best Technical Acheivement
Best Artificial Intelligence

I mean really, "Best Free-For-All Carnage"? Goddamn.
Where did they come up with these? I can imagine some meeting at whatever corporation came up with these:

"Hey let's have a kid thing on TNN!"
"How about video games!"
"Good idea, Bill!"
"What to video game players like? Hmm."
"How about carnage! They all play a lot of Doom!"
"Good idea!"
"And they're all 15, so let's have a sex award!"
"Hottest Heroine!"
"Good idea! They'll love that one!"
"Wait? Maybe video games are more than just juvenile entertainment, and really an evolving art form? I mean, movies started as just nickelodeons, right? Maybe video games are on their way to becoming a serious art form?"
"Good one Bill!"
"Hahahahahaha!"
"Hahahahahaha!"
"Hahahahahaha!"
"Hahahahahaha!"
"Hahahahahaha!"

Fuckers.
