Post subject: An Argument That Needs To Be Resolved
|
|
|
|
My friends and I are having an argument and we are not going to stop until it can get some closure......should Slayers come to Toonami?(If CN can get the rights) I know the question sounds stupid, but it needs to be asked. I think that with some minor editing, the show can be ready in about a year, but my 'buds' say that the show has a horrible plot and no real reason to join the Toonami hit parade. According to them the show is idiotic and has no real plot or storyline, apparently, the show is cliche' and has no real place on Toonami.I strongly disagree, I think this is an excellent show and deserves a shot, the animation is wonderful, the plot isn't bad, and it is anything but cliche'. So they said 'Oh yeah, well why don't you ask you little friends at Infolink and ask them if they think that disgrace to anime should be allowed on Toonami!' That is why I come to you all today, to ask your help in something that could mean big things for CN. I normally wouldn't ask this, but none of my friends will help, I am alone in my cause many would call 'worthless'. Please, help me show my friends the light.
Thank you for your time
Signed,

CN won't get the rights for at least another few years. Disney is holding onto those rights for dear life, just so CN can't make money off of it.
I haven't seen it, but it would either fit on Toonami, or Adult Swim. If CN could get the rights. And that's a big if. BIG if. _________________ anime is teh s uck

And a bog ole' Wrong Forum back at ya.
While the story is mroe than a bit trite, you shouldn't expect anything else from a satire. I consider it more than a decent anime, with a considerable comedic level to it. If Lupin's good for AS, Slayers is good for Toonami. Yes, the plot sucks, but the characters and humor more than make up for it. _________________ This space left intentionally blank.

Why does Disney have the rights....not like they're gonna do anything with it. They only have weak family shows!!!!! They can have Fruits Basket!!!!! _________________ One Last Time, To Blow Your Mind.....

The point is that they don't want CN making any money off of it. Remember Fox and Escaflowne? _________________ This space left intentionally blank.

christ, do I have to explain this again?
it got bought by disney when disney purshased Fox Kids. Everyshow to ever show on Fox Kids is now owned by Disney. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. Even though they might not air a show, they won't release it back to the waters until they have to as they do not want it to be able to come back and bite them in their ass. While CN is their biggest threat in this it is not their only one as have equal mind to keep it away from the other networks as well. It's just a shame that they have all this programming and don't do a single damn thing with it... in the US anyway. _________________ "Veni. Vedi. Spooki." - Julius Caesar

Actually, Fox Kids' longest-lasting franchise, Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, is still alive on ABC Family and ABC Kids, and they brought back the original X-Men series a couple of months back. I'm pretty sure they might bring back some of the other shows from the days of yore... _________________ Toonami visual schedule - UPDATED AUGUST 2, 2015 |

Well here's hoping that it comes to CN. But for the most part I would want it to be picked up by SVES' lineup, cuz in SVES they do the full intro & the ending.
Unlike Toonami. |

Bah, I'd prefer AS, as Toonami would rip it to shreds, and I don't get SVES. _________________ This space left intentionally blank.

Ugh, can't people learn. These same stupid questions are getting old fast.
Slayers may or may not make it on Toonami. It's not up to us, it's not up to Cartoon Network. It is up to the company that currently holds the right to the show and has no plans to try and sell it. Chances are disney is going to hold onto Slayer for a long time, and Toonami is going to focus on getting newer shows than putting all thier efforts into getting old ones.
End of Story. _________________ Bang. |
