Post subject: Looking for nintendo's "lemon"
|

|

After trying to find Roms for the Virtual Boy but only finding porn (which is nice but not what i'm looking for) I have come to the conclusion that I will only beable to play a VB by actually having one. What I'm looking for is a Virtual boy in good condition with the game "Red Alarm". The chances of anyone actually having one are slim since nintendo only made the thing for 1 year but if you are willing to part with it, i'm willing to pay. |

haha... i was really curious about this looking at the title... I was worried for a second there were going to be links to strange things involving scantily clad plumbers and elves... not to mention princesses and dinosaurs and mushrooms... _________________ The problem with America is stupidity. Why. in god's name, would you want one of the worst(and most painful) gaming systems ever made?

I concur. The Virtual Boy was lousy, hard to control, and caused eye damage. |

I played the Virtual Boy once at Blockbuster. All I can say is "it was weird"

That Virtual Boy pretty much looked cool in the commerial (Shockingly, I remember one of the commerials), but it was Nintendo's 2nd worst thing to do (Their first was trying to team up with Sony. Now they were one more to worry). |

I actually enjoyed playing the Virtual Boy. It was a good attempt at 3-D, and the only gaming platform to incorporate parallax. Also, my eyes were already bad, so nobody could notice.
Virtual Tennis was sooo addicting. _________________ Krogoth uses Berserk.

I tried one of those in a toys'r'us display once. Red lights hurt, and I couldn't figure out the controls. _________________ If I can only bypass the firewall, my research will continue better then before. |

Looking for hard to find crap... er, I mean, collectibles? There is only one answer to your questions, my son...
eBay
search under "virtual boy" if you like... myself, I've been wanting to get a Sega Nomad for a while now. It was a lot like the Game Gear, except it played Genesis games on it. My cousin has a working Nomad, I should buy it off him. But my Game Gear taught me how Sega and the alkaline battery companies were in cahoots.
Anyway, I think the dumbass who made this thread should stick to his porn. VB emulators and such are out there, somewhere. But it's not worth it. The good, addicting games such as the tennis game featuring Mario + freinds have found new homes in even more addicting version for the N64, a semi-RPG style for the GBC, and soon the GameCube as well.
Besides, I remember when Toys 'R Us sold the buggers for $20 as clearance. But then again, so was the SNES once upon a time. :( RIP
All this aside, eBay has it if you're willing to pay some lucky bastard who actually sold it. And give up your porn. _________________ "KUSANAGI!" |
