Ok, Flashback, you got yourself on the Kalma list. That means you are dangerously close to being the next victum of the mummy's curse.

In his defense, Flashback is not intentionally annoying, like Kalma was. He's just a twit. _________________ anime is teh s uck

I realise this but it still doesn't stop the calling down of the curse of the mummy.

crazy hobos = love hookers
love hookers = las vegas
las vegas = bono
bono = smart

no real street smarts = blunders and mistakes
blunders and mistakes = getting ass kicked
getting ass kicked = stupidity

That was pretty dandy, Spook. I especially like the Bono link. However, it means that Flashback = Bono, and that is your flaw. For Flashy is no Bono, and you know it.
Either that, or Bono = ethnic cleasning, and that's just not in the spirit of FIRST. Bono? Woody, Dead, and Dave would be ashamed . . . _________________ anime is teh s uck

This thread is ginving me a headache. What is everyone calling me, now? And why don't FAK and Ixidor qualify as Las Vegas? Is it because I sumply have a more congenial personality? Who really stole the Lindburgh baby? Where's the beef?

usually i take the time to work out a well-stated argument for my opinion, but this past week has been so hectic and my time continues to be sucked away, so i'm just gonna throw a bunch of stuff down and hope it comes together...
now i'm obviously not thrilled with what's going on...i was a HUGE fan of adult swim action in 2002 and felt that this time, it was going to be permanent...from the launch with the animatrix to the awesome way toonami just flowed into asa, it seemed like a sure thing, but obviously ratings said otherwise...
now it's easy to point the finger at williams street for "lack of promotion", and i do agree that there should be more cross-promotion of 'action' properties during comedy's hours since it already happens the other way, but that doesn't automatically mean that williams street wants anime to fail like many have concluded...if they really wanted to boot off anime, then why go through all that effort months ago to secure saturday's timeslot again? why continue to acquire more action programming? it just doesn't make sense that way...
i'm thinking the higher-ups may have had some influence on this decision...with the ratings below the wanted numbers combined with recent history (asa 2002), the same willingness to give the block time to grow now simply wasn't there this go-around...perhaps there were rumblings of taking away the saturday timeslot from adult swim for other programming unless things quickly improved, and ws felt this was the best path to take...two hours of action programming beats zero, right?
besides, by doing this, futurama alone should secure enough ratings to keep the saturday block in adult swim's possession, and that makes it much easier for williams street to make action-friendlier changes in the future...think about it: if there were to be a movie night sometime down the line, what day would it fit best?
so yea, i'm not happy to see the action block go so quickly, but if it's a necessity to keep action programming on tv, then i'll accept it... _________________ "Life's a journey, not a destination..." -Aerosmith ('Amazing')

While I see the sense in using proven draws to give Action a hand, oversaturation WILL kill Futurama's ratings as well as Sealab's.
They thought we'd never get sick of CB or Trigun and where are they now? Quick fixing by throwing Comedy on Saturdays. _________________ JKyle.com (Because bad things happen to good people) Cast in the Name of God

Yes and no. Sealab's on once a week, so an extra day won't hurt; Futurama will get tiresome if it's on 6 days a week with no new episodes. But than again, Cartoon Network hasn't figured this out in regards to Scooby-Doo, so they probably don't know better. _________________ "Just checking."
