Ever feel like you just can't push those buttons fast enough? Well maybe it's because you're tired. At least that's what MindFX Science thinks. And to ensure that we gamers can play at the peak of our ability, they have just introduced three new energy supplements that will help us get those high-scores we've always dreamed about. And without further ado, here they are, straight from the press release.
Maxx Impulse is an optimal energy supplement, designed to bring gamers and athletes to the peak of their ability. Adaptogenic herbs, Siberian ginseng and Rhodiola support the body's ability to adapt to the mixture of 200 mg of pure guarana, 100 mg of green orange and 500 mg of high-grade Metabromine.
Neurocharge increases muscle movement and the body's ability to react. This supplement enhances concentration/reaction-time with a formula designed to increase levels of Acetylcholine, the central nervous system's primary neurotransmitter for all neuromuscular activities. An ingredient like ginkgo biloba ensures optimal blood flow and is believed to help recharge brain cells through neuronutrients like taurine and phosphatidylserine. Vinpocetine and glutathione act as antioxidants to protect nerve cells from oxidative stress.
Aftermath relaxation formula helps avid gamers, market investors and athletes downshift after an adrenaline-pumping fragging session or a brutal tennis match. The product supports the body's natural biochemical mechanisms of relaxation and recuperation by using water dispersal nutrients.
Prices range from $19.95 for a 30-tablet bottle of Aftermath to $29.95 for a 60-tablet bottle of Neurocharge. A 60-tablet bottle of Maxx Impulse will cost $29.95, and all of these are only available dircectly from MindFX's website, so if you're feeling a little fatigued, head on over there and check it out.

It seems that Microsoft's entry into online console gaming has paid off in a big way. In less than 60 days, more than a quarter of a million Xbox Live Starter Kits have been sold - double original sales expectations. Also, all four of the best-selling Xbox titles - MechAssault, Ghost Recon, Unreal Championship, and Splinter Cell - are online enabled one way or another.
The immediate popularity of Xbox Live proves not that online gaming is wanted or needed, but that it is a reality, with gamers playing an average of 2.5 hours a day. Nintendo and Sony's online efforts, while commendable, have done little to spark the online revolution. In fact, Xbox Live Starter Kits outsold PS2 network adaptors by 86% this holiday season.

In regards to recent rumors about new versions of the current console and the possibility about the next console from Microsoft, Xbox product manager David Hufford toed the company line by offering no comment on rumors but did say, "We stand behind the current product we have on the market but we'll always explore opportunities that make sense. This is how we were able to correct mistakes we've made in the past, like including the bigger controller with the system at launch."

When asked if the surprising success of the Xbox Live launch changes Microsoft's approach to 2003, Hufford said, "We're cautiously optimistic. The success of the Xbox Live early on validates our strategy, tells everybody that online gaming is the future and confirms that this is a category in which Xbox can continue to lead. There are lots of early adopters we have yet to reach."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
At yesterday's unveiling of the Game Boy Advance SP, Nintendo displayed its 2003 lineup for the GBA. Included in the list is Super Mario Advance 4, though Nintendo has not specified whether it is a port or an original game, nor whether Shigeru Miyamoto is involved in the project.
Bah, they just lowered their said "expectations" so that they could say that sales has exceeded them. Very Happy
j/k...or is it really so???
I didn't say you should buy another GBA just because a new one is out. It's just that no one mentioned the fact that the screen helps prevent stiff necks. So I thought I would mention it. And I mentioned the RARE thing because Zechs said that the newest Star Fox from RARE sucked.
As for what Cooolcorey said, he's probably right. M$ probably lowered their expectations so that they could say they exceeded expectations. It's good for the stock price and for future sales and stuff. A cheap trick really. Every company does it. In the words of Jonathon Lebed (Read the first chapter of Next: The Future Just Happened to find out who he is), "Everyone is manipulationg the stock market. Brokers, analysts, companies, shareholders . . . If it weren't for everyone manipulating the stock market, there would BE no stock market."
Well it didn't SUCK, it just was not what I was expecting from a star fox game. The space batlles were extremely limited and provided no challenge. The puzzles were intriging and the graphics were amazing. Yet the lack of any real challenge really hurt it. The bosses were way way to easy even to the final fight with andross. Then on top of all that the girl you spend 10 pointless hours trying to save doesn't even give fox a proper thanks!
Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates said that it would take his company at least three years to develop a portable console that built on the company's existing Xbox. "It'll be several years, more like three years, before you could do something like an Xbox in a portable factor," Gates explained. He made this statement in an interview with Reuters ahead of a speech at the Consumer Electronics Show.
Pretty much, I like to own a GBASP since it seems to be more portable and you wouldn't have to install a light. In other words, companies making Game Boy light will die.
On the X-Box matter, The company inform companies to make some of the games X-Box Live in ahead for high sales. Playstation 2's Network is not holding strong. For one, about 5-7 games have Online play and the others will not be out for another month or so. So, X-Box has a higher rate to become the best internet-play system of the three.
MS's take on going online was the smart route, don't blame them for Sony and N's failure to put emphesis in prelaunch (and seeemingly post launch). Basicly unless Sony and N get several hugely devastatingly big online titles that MS doesn't their online life is going to fail. They just weren't smart about the whole thing.
I completely agree with spook there. Microsoft did online the right way. Just think. If you pay $9 a month for five online games, you are paying just as much as the Xbox owners who can play as many games as they want. AND you get buddy lists that exist between games. For example if you were playing Splinter Cell with a buddy, then you decide to play Unreal, you can easily find them.
As for the games themselves, that's another story. I'd rather play Unreal on my PC.
Mofo mouthing The big N, tho he does have some good points.http://www.somethingawful.com
It's not cool to like Microsoft and their Xbox System, at least not among gamer nerds and anime freaks like we tend to attract for some reason here at Something Awful. Micro$oft, as it is known by uncreative Linux proponents and people on IGN's Gamecube forum, has an often (not always) unwarranted reputation for screwing over customers and business competitors. This opinion is even more mystifying when you examine the Xbox. In an industry where Nintendo used to exert a vice like grip that would make Microsoft look like it sends bottles of gold-plated champagne to its competitors, the perception that Microsoft is "dicking over" anyone is completely unreasonable, considering Nintendo's business policies. However, this update isn't about Microsoft or lavishing praise on a giant corporate entity (WindowsME fucking sucks), it's about how much I hate Nintendo's recent business practices.
Once Sony completely corn-holed Nintendo out of the number one spot of console dominance, Nintendo could no longer exert its influence over developers, retailers, and customers to the strong-armed extent it once did. Nintendo instead turned to some of the most annoying and vile sales practices I have ever had the displeasure of witnessing. A shining example of the company's greed and apathy to consumers (as it once was in the console market) can be found in their most recent Game Boy Advance release announcemt. The only real choice for people who want a handheld video game system these days, the Game Boy Advance is a powerful and attractive system, with a massive flaw; you can't see the screen unless you're sitting on top of the goddamn sun. The lack of back-lighting was a major complaint amongst gamers, one that seemed fairly ridiculous given the leaps in technology that had come since the last iteration of the original Game Boy.
Having Mario do the same shit over and over again - or even better; sticking him into a game for no reason whatsoever - is the best idea Nintendo has ever had.
Instead of immediately addressing the concerns of thousands of customers who were dissatisfied with constantly squinting and losing their eyesight, Nintendo pretended to place a pot over its head and repeatedly bang the pot with a wooden spoon. Despite appearances, Nintendo wasn't ignoring consumers at all; it was simply milking them for all their cash. It absolutely saturated the market with its flawed handhelds... after all, there wasn't (and still aren't) any alternative unless you wanted to import poorly supported Asian handhelds like the Wonderswan and the twelve incoherent Japanese games currently available for it. In fairly thick secrecy (for the gaming industry), Nintendo had developed a version of the Game Boy Advance that was backlit. Naturally it would cost more and naturally it had to be tested through yet another Christmas shopping season. Only days after children unwrapped their mysteriously shadowy Game Boy Advances did Nintendo appear on high with the announcement of the Game Boy Advance SP, a version of the Game Boy Advance that was actually viewable by normal human beings. And Nintendo laughed heartily, all the way to the bank.
This wouldn't be so bad if it weren't coupled with Nintendo's fucking insanely annoying passive-aggressive sales strategy. This strategy boils down to if you buy a game for your Gamecube, you will be instantly bombarded with prompts to buy Game Boy Advances, E-Card Readers, Link Cables, Nintendo Glow Hats, CowCube, and CowCube Jr. Advance. If that's not enough, Nintendo will dangle the carrot of dubious value-adds like ancient NES games that you already beat hundreds of times on emulators, which you can only unlock if you own the ten pieces of the electronic tri-force that Nintendo insists you must collect. You can also purchase "E-Cards," the stupidest fucking idea ever, and play "awesome" games like "Dr. Mario's Hula-Hoop" for only five dollars on your Game Boy Advance that you have to use under the intense glare of police spotlights. But hey, who cares if Luigi's Mansion had a total of two hours of generic game play?!? YOU COULD UNLOCK THE ORIGINAL MARIO BROTHERS IF YOU HOOKED YOUR GAME BOY ADVANCE UP TO YOUR GAMECUBE AND TAPED MONEY TO A PHOTOGRAPH OF NINTENDO CHAIRMAN HIROSHI YAMAUCHI!
If you can't tell by now, I'm just a little worked up about Nintendo and how I feel they're shitting all over people who try to enjoy their products. I own a Gamecube, an Xbox, and a PS2, so I feel I'm normally pretty reasonable when it comes to this sort of thing. To make things fair, I am going to devote the rest of my article to some insider info I've managed to scrabble together on upcoming Nintendo releases. While you're reading it I'll be over in the corner playing Super Monkey Ball 2, thankful that Sega made the game and not Nintendo.
It's all true though. Kind of sad really. On Nintendo's part.
Gee from what you're saying KH is that Nintendo is making worse decisions every day. Based on that here's the next possible scenario...
"Today Nintendo has annouced the launch of their newest gaming system the Virtual Boy Advance."
Mass suicide, epileptic seizures, and eye gouging ensues.
God how can anyone hate Nintendo that much is beyond me. Without them GAMING WOULDN'T EVEN EXCIST! All nintendo is doing is trying etsablish itself in a different market. Xbox owns older teenagagers through making as many bloody and violent games as they can pack onto the system. To this day I still have not found a game that is more fun to play on the Xbox. So until I do ,there's no reason for me to buy one besides being driven insane by the advertising.
