*Spoiler warning*
If you did not watch the last episode of dbgt and you want to watch it, then don't read past this

I just watched the final episode of DBGT this saturday. I don't really understand it. First of all, why did goku go with shenlong. Then why were the dragonballs absorbed into goku. And third, why did goku appear in the end and never talked to anyone??? I watched the subbed DBGT movie (I think it was called 100 years after) and it still didn't explain anything.

Shenlong put the dragonballs into Goku because that was the safest place in the universe. Goku went with Shenlong because Shen asked him telepathically and he accepted. Shen also could have manipulated him slightly when he resurected him.

Don't for get the deal that Goku made as he gathered the energy for the spirit bomb.

It was also to make the dragonballs disappear from our universe as well.

Besides, Goku would just be wished back every time he dies anyway. Even when he was dead, he couldn't catch a break from saving the universe. Immortality is the only real solution.

I think the finale was decent. They should've shown who won out of Goku Jr. and Vegeta Jr. though. It looked as if it was going to be an incredible fight.

Really that much might have just been a way to extend the series. Because you had Goku as a ghost in the background. One of the characters still alive as an elder. And the possibility of just moving it in the same direction.

DBGT as a whole was a huge disappointment for me. And yes im a DBZ fan but it had so many flaws in it

I agree. DBGT had some good moments, but was a let down. For me, Gohan should have been the one to carry the torch after the "Cell Games" saga. From day one of DBZ, Gohan was always protrayed as a sleeping giant. From what I read, that was the way the creator of Dragonball wanted it.

DBGT was just to make money. The ending made sense to me, but the "GT" series should have gone in a completly different direction.

Just by a show of hands, who would have been happy if there would have been another dragonball series (not just a joke like the AF)?

Not me. I'm in the "DBZ should have ended at Cell" camp.

Although the "Great Saiyaman" arc was an amusing homage to "Superboy". Wink

I don't agree that DBZ should have ended, I hoped it never would, but I felt Gohan should have been the focus not Goku. The Majin Buu saga started turning me off to DBZ. If Gohan had defeated Buu, I think I would have been 100% happy with the way DBZ ended. We all know that was not the case though.

The great suiyaman part showed promise and it showed a good sense of humor. It should have been pressed more forward.

If they were to do another DB series it could be based on Trunks future with Gohan as the Sensei. That would be an interesting one to watch since we know it has a defined ending

I think that the Best part of GT is what CN is referring to as the "lost episodes." They were fairly reminicent of DB; you remember, the one with plot.

I can't wait to see the "lost episodes" and some episodes that I missed. In my opinion GT was okay but, it can never be called as good as DBZ.
