Heya heya heya! Just stopping in checking up and so forth. Who's still here and who's gone?
I've been especially busy the past 6 months with the never ending hunt for work but I think some of you might be interested in at least one endeavor I've been on, it's a RPG called Sagequest. Honestly I can't tell you much about the book as I have yet to see it at all and apparently it'll be damned expensive in stores but hey, my art's in it and that's all that matters.
If you want to check out the books site its sagequestrpg.com (I wrote my own bio for it, can you tell?)
I'll be checking in here hopefully a bit more. |

Sagequest, huh? Hmm....I might have to look into that. I don't post that much, but it's nice to see ya around again, Andromaton. _________________ "No, I told you that your posts showed that you lacked intelligence. That's the opposite of telling you that you are right."-counterparadox |

What the!? Can't say I was expecting this. I guess something's going right for you to drop in here again after so long...
As Nobu said, things are mostly as you left them, though the cartoon discussion has all but died around here. Daikun and Nobuyuki keep us updated on happenings in the industry, but we never really got that "second generation" of posters to pass the torch onto. Most of us old guys are in lurk mode nowadays...
That said, it's good to hear you're finding some work at least. Guess that's not enough to update your site anytime soon, eh? =) _________________ "Life's a journey, not a destination..." -Aerosmith ('Amazing')

It's finally starting to go a little right. For a while I took my site down as I was so poor my server bill just couldn't be paid.
I've put a couple new pics up from sagequest on ma' site. I wonder if how many if any of them ye olde timers will really come out of lurkhood to say hi. I really stayed away to long I think.
New Radiohead? isn't it just as whiny as the old Radiohead?
hehe, I just went and checked the top 10 posters, I aparently am still collectively numbero oneo.
1 Nobuyuki 4603
2 counterparadox 3586
3 John_Bono_Smithy_Satchmo 3560
4 Andromaton 3193

Yeah, um........... who are you again?
I like the new stuff on your site.
Try to drop by here more often, as in more than once per year.

I'm glad to see so many still here, shame there doesn't seem to be many new faces but c'est la vie.
I am pleased to say that the creator of sage quest is keeping me on to do a bunch of the art for the second. I hope to be able to start on it in a week or two. I'm also throwing a resume at blizzard... kind of doubt I'm good enough at anything to work there but man would it be sweeet.
So, any of you who was in college out and working yet? How about those of you now out of high school? Going to skool? |

Well, I graduated from college back in 2005, but it took me that entire summer to find work. I've been in the casino industry since then, monitoring computer systems hooked up to certain slot machines. It's more of a telephone dispatch job, as I don't get to do much in the way of fixing network problems (mostly its just relaying information from the casinos to the technicians and vice versa), and the pay sucks. Despite that, it's very light work, and my employer's has a tuition reimbursement program which has allowed me to go back to school again (albeit community college this time), so the plan is to earn a few associates degrees by next year and then take another stab at the job market...

This place has been mostly dead for the last few months... Maybe a few posts a week. So it's been on life support. _________________ Ice cream has this erotic sense to it- kinda like the one choclate and strawberries have.

Ouch, that's bad. Though I suppose the lack of new community probably stems from the fact Toonami has become fairly stale and really doesn't give fans/kids cool new stuff like it used to. I could really go for another TIE but I doubt we'll ever see another one again. It seems all the people who were interested in keeping the fans involved all moved over to Adult Swim leaving Toonami to just be another block of programming without the personality it once had. Kind of sad really. |
