Apparently the new REN & STIMPY: THE COMPLETE FIRST & SECOND SEASONS -- UNCUT are not exactly uncut. While the edits seem relatively minor, it's hardly a smart idea for Paramount Home Entertainment to release a DVD with "uncut" printed in big letters on the cover when there are obvious edits in numerous cartoons. I haven't seen a complete list of cuts yet, but some of the them are mentioned in this message board post. Also here is a letter from John Kricfalusi explaining his side in the whole matter. _________________ Toonami visual schedule - UPDATED AUGUST 2, 2015

Avi Arad, head of Marvel Studios recently told Superhero Hype that Spider-Man: The New Animated Series will recieve a second season.
The show was one of MTV's highest rated shows before it was removed from MTVs schedule last summer. Since then, the chances of a second season weren't unfeasable, but very slim.
According to Arad, the show will not air on MTV.

Pixar chairman Steve Jobs believes that if The Incredibles becomes the blockbuster many are expecting it to be, the film's success will give him additional leverage in negotiating a new distributor for Pixar. As Jobs tells the Los Angeles Times, concerning Pixar's previous five film's achievements, "Pixar is lucky enough to be five-for-five. ... If Incredibles makes that six-for-six ... it gives us wonderful options to work with all sorts of people." Still, some Disney executives remain hopeful that Pixar and Disney could strike a new deal. Disney studio Chairman Dick Cook tells The Times, "I would love to think it's never over until it's over."

Variety, via Dark Horizons, reports that CritterPix Studios and Regency Enterprises are developing their first computer-generated animated feature, based on the bestselling kids book Ollie the Otter, by Kelly Alan Williamson. The story focuses on a courageous sea otter who leads a group of domesticated sea park friends to open water to save his family from perishing at the hands of a rogue and vain killer whale.
The trade also reports that Miramax has received the North and South American distribution rights to Pathe Pictures Intl.'s animated feature Sprung! The Magic Roundabout. In post-production and set to be completed in January, Sprung! The Magic Roundabout is based on the vintage U.K. puppet TV series of the same name.

Today's the day for series acquistions, apparently...
TAN Acquires All 3 Seasons of Slayers
anounced on 2004-10-21 11:31
ANIME NETWORK ACQUIRES ALL THREE INSTALLMENTS OF
"SLAYERS' TELEVISION SERIES FROM ENOKI FILMS USA
Popular Anime Series Combines Adventure, Comedy, Fantasy and the Supernatural
(Houston, TX October 21, 2004) Anime Network, the first channel in North America dedicated to anime, has acquired all 78 half-hour episodes of the "Slayers" anime television series, including season two "Slayers Next" and season three "Slayers Try," from Enoki Films USA. The series, based on stories and characters created by Hajime Kanzaka and Rui Araizumi, originally aired on Japan's TV Tokyo from 1995 through 1997. Anime Network will begin airing the "Slayers" series in early 2005.
"Our acquisition of the entire Slayers television series provides us with yet another excellent source of anime programming," said Kevin Corcoran, president of Anime Network. "More importantly, it also opens the door for creative cross-promotions between the network and our sister company, ADV Films, which recently acquired the U.S. distribution rights to "Slayer: The Movie."
In the first season of "Slayers," produced in 1995, Lina Inverse is a wandering sorceress and bandit-killer who joins forces with roving swordsman Gourry Gabriev in what's supposed to be a quick union of convenience. Instead, an artifact, Lina, "liberated" from a gang of thieves, turns out to be the key to the resurrection of the demon lord Shabranigdo. Urged on by the mysterious Red Priest Rezo, the pair has no choice but to fight the dark lord and his servants, accumulating new allies and enemies along the way.
The second season installment, known as "Slayers Next" by anime fans, finds Lina and Gourry coincidentally meeting up again with Zelgadis and Amelia and begin to search for the Clair Bible. During their search they run into a mysterious priest named Xelloss who seems to know a thing or two about the passages they're looking for, but he tends to get them into more trouble. Lina and her associates also discover that the Monster race has plans of its own, and that they themselves play a big part in the Monsters' evil intentions.
By season three, "Slayers Try," several months have passed since the barrier put in place by the Mazoku sublords was broken which provides Lina and her colleagues with access to the outside world. Once they cross over, they become wrapped up in a prophecy that foretells of a dark lord from another dimension, Dark Star Dugradigdo, who enters their world to spread chaos.

In his most recent weblog entry on jinglebelle.com, Krypto co-producer/writer Paul Dini says:
Quote:
I saw the first five or six completed KRYPTO episodes and they are looking pretty cute. Imagine a Hanna-Barbera cartoon series produced circa the time of Atom Ant (1966 or thereabouts) but with more lush animation. Props to Director/Producer Scott Jeralds for capturing the look of that era. He’s made the perfect animation fusion of Silver Age DC comics and Little Golden Books.
Dini adds that his Krypto short story will be published this winter in DC's Bizarro World hardcover, and that Jingle Belle's comic debut at Dark Horse streets on November 24th. Also on Nov 24th, Bongo Comics releases The Simpsons Holiday Humdinger collecting previous Simpsons comic holiday escapades, to which Dini has contributed new material.
Finally, Dini says he'll be in attendance at the Wizard World Texas comic-con in Arlington, TX, November 5-7.

Variety is reporting that Futurama co-creator David X. Cohen and Ice Cube are teaming up for a half-hour animated sitcom for Fox called Grandmaster Freak & the Furious 15. The series will be set in Englewood, N.J., which is significant because the city is the birthplace hip-hop pioneer Sugar Hill Records, and will follow the adventures of an early 1980s old-school rap crew with a comically large number of members, whose leader is Grandmaster Flash, a 17-year-old high school student. Cube will likely voice a character, but not that of the title character. Matt Alvarez, an executive producer on the series, said the goal is to find voice actors who have the ability to rap and hopes to have a musical performance in each episode. Cohen created the series, and will he will write and executive produce the series via Cube and producing partner Alverez's Cube Vision Prods., both Cube and Alverez will serve as executive producers on the series.

Animation legend Don Bluth has provided animation for New York based band Scissor Sisters' music video Mary. Picked by the critics as one of the highlights of Scissor Sisters debut album, Mary, written by Jake Shears, has also become a live favourite. The animated sequence is a condensed version of Rapunzel, running a bit over one minute.

Okay...you didn't have to post the conversation as well. Though I'm glad you did becuase I have to type things twice.
This show is so delightfully cute it makes want to **** cotton candy.
Everytime they throw in japanese into their speech it just makes me smile. Only complaint is that I wish AmiYumi did the voices for the characters themselves, even with their limited english. _________________ Bang.

dear god, you do realize at least Yumi (I believe she's the one I met) speaks like 2 words of english, right? she had her translater working his ass off and I don't think it would be such if she could speak more of the lingo.
As far as the other one goes, not a clue how lingually challenged she is.
