				| I was thinking about the old days of Toonami and I was wondering, what would be considered retro or classic for Toonami? I say from 1997 to 2003 but does anyone else have another idea of when? |

I've never seen the Moltar era ecxept for TDA downloads. I'd have to say Tom 1. _________________ "One Piece may seem like a pirate show, but it's really a life show. Think about it." Tom4, Toonami 2008 Hodgepodge |

Moltar for sure. 1997 until 2000 is as retro as Toonami gets. But I suppose TOM 1 is also quite retro at this point. Still... I'd have to go with this...

Retronami

1997-2000

The Revolution

2000-2004 (with some lameness mid 2002 as well as late 2003 into early 2004)

The Rebirth

2004-2007 (with some lameness in mid 2005 and post summer 2006)

The End?

2007-2008 (losing those two hours could be the writing on the wall)

Seriously though... the change from Moltar to TOM 1 was a bit too significant to consider TOM 1 part of Tooanmi's retro era but even with that in mind I do somewhat consider pre 2003 to be retro for Toonami at this point. _________________ Toonami > sliced cheese (and I really like chees) |

The only reason I consider Tom1 classic Toonami is because when I began watching I hadn't even known Moltar was the first Toonami host. That being said, I've seen the Moltar promos and speeches, and that is classic Toonami. _________________ "One Piece may seem like a pirate show, but it's really a life show. Think about it." Same here. I never got to see Moltar on air, but from what what I've seen, he is definitely the predecessor of our favorite robot host. Definitely retro Toonami; old dude, suave mood. _________________ "Never confuse being lazy with being apathetic. Lazy people are not apathetic. Apathetic people don't care about anything. Yea, I can't say I can complain about Tom 1 being retro Toonami. Moltar might be more accurately described as Classic Toonami, kind of like classic music. _________________ To do two things at once is to do neither. —Publilius Syrus, Roman slave, first century B.C. |
