Bob Hastings, who voiced Commissioner James Gordon in Batman: The Animated Series, has died on July 1 from pancriatic cancer. He was 89 years old.

Apart from Commissioner Gordon, Hastings also doubled in bit parts to the series. He began his career in the early 1940s as a radio actor. He also furthered his career by lending his voice to Superboy in the Filmation Superman cartoons.
