-Your right Wing is constantly talked about by the younger generation because Wing was more fantasy than anything else. I'm not saying that MS Gundam was not fantasy, just that in MS Gundam, when people died it had an impact but in Gundam Wing there was no impact because the show never made us think about the consequenses of death. Also, kids didn't just dislike the original for the animation. They disliked it because it was much more serious than Gundam Wing where instead of getting AWESOM BATTELS they had mental problems and just overall war problems and concerns like food shortage and desertion.

-CP, I was saying that the only thing that Gundam sold that was even close to a toy was an action figure. Also, action figures are still considered toys. I never said that Gundam model kits were toys.

Although a great percentage of the illegible posts here are from the stereotype that CP cites and perpetuates. Wink

The worst are engrish types, who speak quasi-english-l33t, though they tend to infest the gaming community more. Though I've had some run ins with french canadians who happen to speak english as a second language, can't type it very well, but can speak it peachy. AZNs are bad though (no offense to any asians of course).

I have another example of mature shows that has a large toy selection. Aliens and Predator are those examples.

Alien and Preditor did not come out with "toys". They came out with action figures that appeal to geeks that collect such things. Big difference.

A toy is a toy there chief. No matter what you call it, it comes full circle in the end.

...Alright, that was a bad example now that I think about it, but come on... Relax. Just give verbal smackdowns to the "otaku" and anyone who ignored their english classes in school, then go play with your toys. We'll all go play with our toys, no matter what those toys may be.

If I recall correctly, the arguement was made that these "adult" things had "Toys" made for children. That is what I was calling into question.

Hence trying to make the distinction for the sake of clarification. Yes, they are all "toys", but by making the distinction, it makes the discussion clearer.

Well I think toonamis starting to look a little better, especially after I saw Naruto. But I think toonami needs to go back to the old time slot. Its getting tougher and tougher for me to watch toonami on saturdays and I bet I'm not the only one. I think CN needs to get rid of Maguzi and give us back Toonami daily.

you are not the target of that time slot. Well you might be... I dunno are you 10?

If you are having troubles watching toonami there are these great devices created back in the day. way back during the stone age. they're called VCRs.

Try it. Or maybe a DVR.

A DVR is way too expensive and I don't think I've owned a VCR in a good 4 years. I;m just sayin I think they would get a lot more of there old viewers if they put it back in the old timeslot. I know that a lot of my friends stopped watching toonami for that one reason.

Perhaps they're of the miguzi age group then.

I know I always used to have problems watching Toonami when it was on at that time, because I had various aftrer school activites, Football, cross country, swimming, wrestling, track. For a good long while all i could do was use the vcr. But maybe I had more of a life than your friends... hard to believe...

Hey that was really uncalled for. A lot of people wouldn't be part of this forum if they didn't watch toonami at that time. So why don't you go tell one of them they don't have a life.

Well in the GATV interview Sean Akins said they moved to Saturdy it gave them time to manage the timetables for their shows, while the CN execs might have had a hand in Toonami's it's still true that the shows are managed better nowadyas. We don't have to put up with endless reruns of DBZ, at one point DBZ had taken over the entire block and I had stop watching for Toonami weeks.

The August rut was a lowpoint in Toonami but things are improving now with Naruto, IGPX and Bo^7 here. Naruto's called the next DBZ(though more varied), IGPX has the same director as Outlaw Star, I'm sensing a pattern for success here. Wink
