I like Death Scythe's wing's in EW vs the flaps in the series. The flaps just didn't make sense.

Ahh...there are just so many. Well here is the list. (Not in order of favorite)

Gouf Custom *drools*
Nu Gundam
Epyon
Wing Zero

Also, I like the specs on the main gundam in Gundam X. B/c it uses the "satelite" cannon I think it's called. Which is even MORE powerful than beam cannon from Wing Zero. Ya gotta love that...

The Deathscythe Hell Custom had flaps as well. No wing. Take a look at the end of endless waltz where Duo is in the air and drops down on the Serpent troops.

Yeah, between Hell and Hell Custom the only changes were the pointy feet and the change of the color scheme. The "stealh cloak/sheild/flaps" were the same. Another place to look is in the TDA section for GW, in I think one of the promos there's a picture of him opening...I think it's in one of the intros...

Yeah...

Death Scythe Hell in the TV series has its cloak attached above the shoulders:

While the Death Scythe Hell Custom from Endless Waltz has its cloak attached on the back:

I used flaps and wings to denote the difference in the attachement of the cloak. I will look for better pics if you really want them but they won't help your case any.

His wings on the Custom still fold out from flaps. This isnt rocket science. You don't have to prove a theorum.

The original argument was:

WhtHawk wrote:

The above post (pictures) clarified the terms I used in my argument.

The attachment method is crucial to my argument as it places a constraints of the capabilities of the Death Scythe Hell.

To clarify my argument:

Flaps (the TV version of the cloak) suck because:
    1. The flaps raise the center of gravity for the suit, making control more difficult.
    2. Flaps add rear-ward pitch during atmospheric combat. i.e. The make the suit behave as if it were top-heavy
    3. The flaps restrict any torso movement in the rear-ward direction. i.e. reaching over shoulder or pulling shoulder back
    4. They look stupid open.

Wings (The Endless Waltz version) are good because:
    1. The wings attach to the back of the torso and extend outward rather than upward, retaining the original center of gravity.
    2. Wings make atmospheric combat easier by adding lift to powered flight and adding control to descents.
    3. Wings have fewer pieces and/or cracks than the flaps. This offers better protection and fewer reflective surfaces for easier escape of enemy detection.
    4. Wings look cool, especially bat wings. After all this is the god of death.

On the contrary. I think they look stupid closed. He looks like a gundam with a blanket on him or something. I agree with your other points though. (I hope I didn't just contradict myself... I do that often)

You didn't contradict yourself. But since both method have nearly identical drawbacks when closed; they were omitted from the pro-con list.

Yeah. But I do think they look cool when they are open, even if there is a disadvantage.

Why does the god of death need to be cool? Is the point not to ensure death? Besides, who can kill their best wearing restrictive clothing?

He doesn't need to look cool, but if he does, isn't that good?

It is a stealth gundam. The flaps keep him hidden, and extra armour.
