I'd say the accomidations in GITMO are better. The food has to be, and the rooming situation as well. _________________ This space left intentionally blank.

If it "must" happen, then why don't you get a billion dollars, and give it to CN so it will get new anime. I hate when people say that someone must do something while they don't care how much money it would cost. TV is not just about happy viewers, it is also about business. As long as most of the people are happy, the station is not going to spend more money.
True but CN should also try to find better proagraming if it dosen't want to be left in the dust by the likes of Disney & Nickolodean. It's taken a step toward the right direction with shows like Naruto and IGPX, but rerunning episodes of Yu-Gi-Oh that have already been repeated to death by Kids WB. I mean why would people pay for a cable network to watch shows they could've seen for free by just getting a TV.
All I'm saying is that something fresh would do more good than this, CN could ask for Angelic Layer afterall ADV's in trouble so CN could negotiate the price.

A joint anime network always seemed like it'd make more sense. Though I think AOL Time Warner is a large enough dark triumpherate. _________________ This space left intentionally blank.

No, it's the same evil empire, they just removed the "AOL" part after all the business scandals made AOL's name even less appealing than it originally was. _________________ "When I became a man, I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up."- C.S. Ok I'm confused did they get rid of AOL, or is AOL still doing some shady business with them?

Ok, I'll make it very clear, as it is confusing. A few eyars back, there was a company named AOL TIme Warner. This company was a huge media conglomerate. Warner = TV. Time = periodicls. AOL = internet.
Eventually, people were like "...wait a minute . . . AOL SUCKS!" And AOL Time Warner was all "...Uh, yeah, um, you got us. Sorry about that." So they took the AOL out of their name.
It was just a name change. It's still all the same company.
Sort of like how they made Adult Swim into a separate network that shares channel space with Cartoon Network. It is my belief that they did this for legal reasons. Basically, if it's legally not the same entity, AS can air more and get away with it. And if there ever IS an issue, Cartoon Network will not go down with the ship.
As for CN getting new stuff, well, they are one of the top 10 watched channels in the nation. They know what they are doing. They are able to appeal to a wide array of demographics, and are PWNING at getting the OH SO ELUSIVE 18-34 year old male demographic. You may hate Yu Gi Oh, but 10 year olds love it. So do 7 year olds. It's not your demographic, so let it slide.
On a side note, did you know that over 90% of the media out there (Periodicals, radio, movies, music, and TV) is owned by only 5 companies? Yes, 5. Everything you see is controlled by only 5 groups of people.
And yes, that should scare you that that few amount of people control everything you see. _________________ anime is teh s uck

When AOL originally bought Time-Warner, AOL was at the top of the management. They were #1. When the company turned to crap, AOL got demoted in the company value to #2, so now T-W is #1. They weren't separated; they're just not as powerful as they used to be.
As for "shady business," Time-Warner has been trying desperately to clean up AOL's mess over the past two years. So far, they've been doing a decent job with it, but they still have a long road to go. Radish-sama, the only way AOL could get a positive reputation is if they physically cut the fiber cable running to their servers. _________________ Proud creator of the Wikipedia RX-78 mobile suit series article.

And if such a cut subsequentially removed most of the idiotic 12 year olds from the interent. _________________ anime is teh s uck

It wouldn't make a difference. The super-buggy IE still dominates the Internet market (which most people have switched to since they abandoned AOL [or vice-versa]), and AIM isn't just exclusive to AOL users. _________________ Toonami visual schedule - UPDATED AUGUST 2, 2015

Last time I saw the stats, I think Firefox had 20% of the internet users, which was a 100% increase from exaclty 1 year prior (2%). I'm hoping it gets over 50%, so things start being tailored to it instead of IE. There are a few things that I just can't do with Firefox because they're made only for IE. Bitches. _________________ anime is teh s uck

Don't forget that Netscape (and Mozilla) has been an AOL property for a while. They must do something right.
Now if only they could fix the text hilighting bug... _________________ This space left intentionally blank.
