As of 2AM tonight (early this morning?), the Saturday Video Entertainment System has breathed its last breath.

It was a nice little block that was lots of fun, but unfortunately, it was TOO much fun (even too much for Toonami to handle), and now it's time to turn the power off. Next week, the double-teaming of Toonami and Adult Swim will be taking its place, making things better than ever. Gripe/praise/whatever about the block here. Tell us how much you will/won't miss of it, the good times and the bad times, etc. in this thread.

Here's all the neat stuff it gave us:

March 2003:

1: The block's birth; new episodes of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, Transformers: Armada, and G.I. Joe; the premiere of .hack//SIGN.

29: New episodes of .hack//SIGN (the ones Toonami didn't air).

April 2003:

5: The CN premieres of Jackie Chan Adventures and X-Men: Evolution.

26: New episodes of Samurai Jack.

May:

24: The premiere of The Powerpuff Girls Movie as part of its 4-night Memorial Weekend Premiere.

June:

(Nothing.)

July:

5: The Justice Saturday special, featuring four episodes of Superman vs. Darkseid and a new hour-long Justice League episode, "Twilight."

12: The special series premiere of Hot Wheels: Highway 35 World Race; new episodes of Rurouni Kenshin.

19: The series premiere of Teen Titans.

August:

16/23: The premieres of two new hour-long episodes of Samurai Jack, "The Birth of Evil" and "Scotsman Saves Jack."

30: The series premiere of Knights of the Zodiac.

September:

27: The movie premiere of G.I. Joe: Spy Troops.

October:

4: New episodes of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe and hour-long episodes of Justice League; the series premiere of Zoids: Fuzors.

November-December:

(Nothing.)

January:

10: New episodes of Teen Titans.

31: The series premiere of Transformers: Energon; a 4-hour Cyborg 009 marathon.

February:

(Nothing.)

March 2004:

13: The official series premiere of Duel Masters.

April 2004:

3/10: Two new episodes of Duel Masters. (It's a shame it didn't last long. Heh.)

10: Teen Titans marathon; all 20 chapters of Star Wars: Clone Wars; the block's death.
