so many celebrities, old actors, etc., have died this year... which of them will you miss the most?
two links:

*note the second one may or may not have been updated to include Mr. John Ritter or the legendary Johnny Cash
As for my personal pick, I think I'll miss Johnny Cash the most, though Mr. Rogers and Charles Bronson are tied at a very close second... _________________ "The principles you live by create the world you live in; if you change the principles you live by, you will change your world." -Blaine Lee

Yeah, I was talking about the three recent deaths (Cash, Ritter, and Henry Goz (see thread in Animation Discussion if you don't know Goz)) earlier today. I didn't really know about Cash till he released Hurt, but damn, that was a good song. There was so much feeling behind it. It was just so . . . candid. You can't outdo candid with ANYTHING. Not skill, not sex appeal, not flashing lights and effects. Nothing. And there was a movie recomended to me that Ritter was in. It's a movie based off of a play. Noises Off. One of the lines is "And god said Where the hell is Tim? And there the hell was Tim." It's a play about the cast of a play. Sounded wickedly funny.
What's the death that most affected me, however? Sorry, but I can't say. I was never really a hardcore fan of any of these people. _________________ anime is teh s uck

Bob Hope was a great guy, and even had a USN ship named after him(a cargo ship)... But the guy who I'll miss has to be they guy that wanted everyone to be his neighbor. Fred Rodgers.
Still, the guy who we'll all miss the most died last year. A great guy, by the name of Dave Thomas. It's not the same without him. _________________ Ice cream has this erotic sense to it- kinda like the one choclate and strawberries have.

Warren Zevon
He was a great artist, and his songs were pretty damn funny. I remember listening to my dad's record with a collection of his best songs. I enjoyed every minute of it. When I heard the news about his death earlier this week, I was literally in tears.
If you haven't heard his songs yet, go listen to them. They're hilarious! My personal recommendations are "Werewolves of London" and "Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner." _________________ Toonami visual schedule - UPDATED AUGUST 2, 2015

Barry White was the best. I especially like the part where he lended his voice to the Angry Beavers. Great guy.

Honestly, all these celebrities are going to leave an indelible mark on me.But that's life, people live and people die only to leave their memoirs with the living.
Side Note: Personally, Charles Bronson will always linger in my mind because as a kid every time I would see one of his movies I would think that's my uncle, because my uncle really looked like him. Also I wouldn't like to leave Celia Cruz out of the thread, she was "la Guarachera de Cuba "and left a unforgettable mark in the Latino Music industry. _________________ Tan simple y tan sencillo como eso, el mundo apesta! -inguesu

OMG, same here... I have an uncle (who everone calls "Uncle Buck"... no lyin') who I thought looked almost exactly like Charles Bronson. What's even funnier was that when I told one of Buck's kids, my cousin Joe, about that, he said that he thought my dad looked more like Charles Bronson.
...just an odd little story about my family...
Also, I originally did put Warren Zevon's name on the poll, but I didn't have enough room for both him and an "other" option... _________________ "The principles you live by create the world you live in; if you change the principles you live by, you will change your world." -Blaine Lee

I never really watched his show, that or I don't remember watching, yet I still voted for Mister Rogers. It's amazing that he had that much of an influence on people. _________________ "Just checking."

Man, Mr. Rogers was the best... you see, Sesame Street was like crack to us kids, it got us excited and singing and speaking spanish and thoroughly shortened the attention span of entire generations of kids with its skits and shorts...
but Mr. Rogers was what you watched after Sesame Street... he worked better than Ritalin to calm the f*ck out of kids. Yeah, now when I look back at the show, Mr. Rogers was just a wierd old guy who talked funny, but back in the day, Mr. Rogers was my f*ckin' neighbor, and everything was cool and mellow with him... _________________ "The principles you live by create the world you live in; if you change the principles you live by, you will change your world." -Blaine Lee

Doing my duty as the board's "Grim Reaper Reporter", it turns out the Maytag repairman died. Perhaps not the most life-changing character roles of the century, but hell, a good company spokesman is hard to come by.
