Post subject: Torrent has video, but no audio...

Sorry guys, I know that this isn't the sort of thing that usually gets discussed around here, I found a torrent that I had been looking for(it took about 3 days) After d/l all of it, I went to play it on my Core Media Player. The picture was fine, butI had no audio. The log indicated that some streams were of an unsupported format. So I tried both my Media Player Classic, and my Windows Media player, and the result wasn't much better. ai could almost hear it, if I had the sound cranked up all the way on my monitor & player. They mentioned that another audio codec was needed. I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced the same difficulties, or if I simply need to update all of my codecs....

You can try to get real player, and divx codec, then you video and audio should play fine. If that doesn't help, then try using real player again, and it should tell you if you need to download some other codec. Hope that helps.

As it turns out all is well. after some help from another source, I was able to get what I needed. It seems that this torrent was subbed by a group from russia, all I needed was the AC-3 codec & filter. Someone told me about Gspot, and I went from there. Thanx anyway.......

I remember seeing those in junior high, never used one though.

We had a Model III when I started work.
