Oh I'm happy alright. Though I do have all 5 of those episodes on VHS. I can't wait till the DVD comes out. I'll buy it on its arrival day for sure! I do hope it isn't the condensed version though... that would suck. But even if it is I'll buy it in hopes that they will see a market for the old show and release the rest in box sets. They could start with Season 2 because Season 1 is just those five episodes (notably the best 5 in the whole series and before anything was changed to make it more suitable for kids).
BTW I am very honored to be mentioned in a news report on the Infolink.
This is a good year for TMNT! This Spring especially!
- Some wicked awesome episodes are coming up on the Fox Box
- CN (and hopefully Toonami) will get the reruns of the first 40 in March
- The old show comes out on DVD in April
- The Return to New York arc will be on DVD soon
- The TGS will be out in the near future
- Plus a ton of new merchandise will be arriving in the near future
The only icing the cake I could see now is if Konami brings out a new game sometime this year.
Turtle mania had indeed returned and I couldn't be happier.

Yes, yes it does. I'd watch every day. For every hour and ever minute. It lacks TMNT but Teen Titans works. Gundam Wing switch to Gundam SEED than back to Wing then back to SEED.
I see no reason for Friday though. Dragonball/Z has been running for long enough. One Piece and Naruto can take it from here... not to mention Yu Yu Hakusho.
Since I doubt they'd have that much space for stuff I'll condense it...
5.0 - Teen Titans or TMNT
5.5 - Gundam SEED
6.0 - Naruto
6.5 - One Piece

5.0: Outlaw Star (evenn though they played it twice)
5.5: Evangelion
6.0: InuYasha
6.5: Yu Yu Hakusho
7.0: Rouroni Kenshin (i never figured out why the took it off in the first place)
Friday:
4.0: Gundam Wing
4.5: Rouroni Kenshin
5.0: Yu Yu Hakusho
5.5: Any Anime Movie (i'd especially like to see the Eva and Yu Yu Hakusho movies)
I would have put Trigun on there because it is my favorite anime but it would have to be uncut because if it was cut, it would suck.

Interesting... but wouldn't it make more sense to air the movie first so that Kenshin and Yu Yu Hakusho could remain at the same time?
EVA on Toonami? Editied? Well we all know that didn't pan out.
I kinda wanna see who WS would handle making Inuyasha Toonami appropriate. I wonder what would "slip by".

Plus you cant watch the Eva movie without seeing the show. It is not like the Bebop Movie where you actually could have 0 knowledge of the show and still get it.

I know they're only 5 minutes but in my ideal lineup it would be a 30 minute show.

the eva thing. it's bad writing. movies of series are almost like advertisements to get people into the series. Especially if the series is long over with. Movies are suposed to be briefly introducing the characters so that new people can at least follow along with the story with minimal problems but as I've said before the japanese hate explaining things. |
