Man...I just got back from my senior prom, and I am pretty pissed. It was ok, but my date was all gungho for going with me, and then all night she ignores me, and dosnt want to dance, and then when I drop her off she just says, "thanks....it was fun", and gets outta car and goes inside her house.

Well besides whatever her problem was, it was pretty fun. Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone here ever went to prom, and whether it turned out good or bad.....

I went to the prom my Junior and Senior years. My Junior year I took a girl I knew from church. She was raised in a very strict enviroment and was about ready to kill me by half-way through the prom when I thought she was going to go balistic. My Senior year I went stag with a Grerman exchange student who was as much of an anime addict as me, and a redneck friend of mine. We did crazy stuff and went to Burger King in Tuxedos. Much more fun in my opinnion.

my one prom I went to with my girlfriend at the time, she did the ignoring thing and didn't really want to dance, and that was also the time I learned to make wine glasses sing, which was in fact the straw that broke the camel's back. I was dumped the next wednesday... because I annoyed the crap out of her.

My next prom was more fun sinc ethere were more people I knew there, I went with my one friend Jenny, who's goal the entire night was to make Angela jealous. I started dating Angela the day before prom. It was funny...

My next prom was during the apart time from angela, I went with my best friend and it wasthe best prom of the three I had a ton of fun and afterwards went back to her place and we played videogames til 3 am.

I'll tell you how my wedding turns out ina couple weeks Wink

I didn't go to mine. It was two weeks ago. Just not my thing.

However, when the biggest loser in your grade goes and you don't, some might say that you got owned (0wnz3d) at life. However, my theory (actually a friend's theory) is that by going to prom and spending 100x"X" dollars, as well as having to actually find someone to go with (another guy I know asked five girls and went 0 for 5, which is much like the PDF clan CS record), and then actually getting reservations for food, transportation, pics, ect (8 local high schools had their proms that night), you age far too much in one night. Thus, by not going, even when the biggest loser in the senior class went, I was not owned at life- I owned life.

And I'll age slower. ^_^

I went this year with a Brazilian exchange student. Usually I never attend anything school related but since I changed my group of friends I got more into going to soccer games and stuff. So I end up asking a friend of mine in math, and surprisingly she agreed. God I spent so much money on that girl. Bought the tickets, food, and a 40$ corsage. Basically she can dance and I cant lets put it that way. Besides all the music that night sucked. How are you supposed to dance to The Thong Song or Stacy's Mom? It ended up with her, her friend, and me hanging out for two hours dancing badly and meeting up with people we knew. Hardly anything to do besides that. At around ten her friend dragged her off so they could get picked up and that was that. Wasn't a disaster but I wish it could have been more. See what happens next year.

Yah ours is always the Senior/Junior prom.

My experience was differnt Zechs. We both can dance alright, but she is shy and dosn't like to dance, and I just don't care. So we slow dance the whole night, but when "The Thong Song" or other music like that came on she wouldnt dance, because she was embaraased. Plus we are really just "friends" and nothing more, so I gueess she kinda was embarassed. OH, and the fact that she is a good friend, if not best friends, with my ex-girlfriend dosn't help. Bah, I get agravated thinking about it all.

I will recount my many dance experiences after my prom, which is in about 2 weeks. Should be interesting. There are some VERY interesting developments that are potentially in the works.

I did that, for our school's Mr. PHS contest (kinda like Miss America, except for our shcool & with guys) there was a dancing/karaoke portion. All of the dance music came strait from DDR. Twisted Evil

They hated it, I loved it.

Sounds awesome. IN THE NAVY!..... Razz
Anyways, i didn't go to my own prom, i knew t would have sucked and I would have spent too much money for nothing anyways.
I went to my GF's prom last night and it was rpetty cool. What was funny was that I didni't wanna dance at first and she was crazy about it. The the Michael Jackson old school stuff came and a Soul Train was created, and He saw taht it was good. i owned that Soul Train and my girlfriend was embarassed to go through it, even though i clarly remember her stating "I know everybody here so I'm gonna act as crazy and look as stpuid as I possibly can" or something like that. Always the hipocrite but anyway we then bolwed after which wasn't really that fun cause it was only her, me, and a frined that i called up. And then went to Denny's for a late night snack. not really anything special. I've been to tons of my Chorus Banquets and they were all pretty much the same.
I don't see what the big deal is.
peace

My school is too damn small to have a prom. Our sophomore year has only 16 students (myself included), junior year only has 4, and we don't even have a senior year. Really stinks...
