I caught my first glimpse of Lupin III, yesterday, and I love it. It is hilarious, I love the action and the adult humor. Definitely, kick ass! All the voices are well done, except Lupin, I still like the VA, but David Hayter just did too much of a good job!
One little question though. Is this a Pioneer of FUNimation property? |

I think Pioneer owns most of the TV episodes. The movies are owned yb a few different companies.
Castle of Gagliostro is owned by Manga.
Secret of Twilight Gemini, The Pursuit of Harimao's Tresure, Dragon of Doom, and Fujiko's Unlucky Days are owned by Funimation.
Tales of the Wolf is still owned by Streamline Pictures if they're still around.
Legend of the Gold of Babylon, and Plot of the Fuma Clan havn't been liscensed yet. _________________ Bang. |

I own The Castle of Cagliostro. Which fuckin' owns. Wonderful WONDERFUL film. When I watched Lupin III, the series, I was a bit taken back on how lecherous Lupin is, compared to the Lupin III in TCoC. I still love Miyazaki's and Monkey Punch's interpertations of Lupin. |

Neither does Pioneer, Manga or FUNimation. They all have licensing rights. Monkey Punch still owns everything. _________________ "When I became a man, I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up."- C.S. Lewis

Not.
Everything else they release is licensed, there's no reason to expect they've been releasing unlicensed Lupin. _________________ "When I became a man, I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up."- C.S. Lewis

Hmm i didn't know they were legal. It just seemed odd that what looks like such a low-budget compay could get liscensing rights to that many shows. _________________ Bang. |

They dubbed Bubblegum Crisis 2032.
(And did a mighty fine job at it too. Some other companies coughBANDAIcough could learn a thing or two from AnimEigo.) _________________ "Robots don't say 'ye'."

No worries, amigo. I like to believe they just know what to spend their money on.
And Beefy:
1) I agree with everything you said.
2) Your avatar scares me. _________________ "When I became a man, I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up."- C.S. Lewis

I finally got around to actually programming the VCR, remembering to put the tape in, and eventually watching it before I need to record over stuff. Lupin (impressively correct pronounciation, maybe just a little more nasal would be good) III is awesome. I love the old-school, intelligent feel. I'm hooked.
Does anyone else think Fujiko looks way too perky/angular? _________________ Krogoth uses Berserk.

I haven't decided yet. I need to see more episodes.
Although the first DVD shows her at a couple of angles that Adult Swim can't. _________________ "When I became a man, I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up."- C.S. Lewis
