Post subject: A Forum Rules Question

Listen. Do you hear it? It is part of my sig. I found no rule against it so I decided to do it. Also, because there is no rule now, I believe it is fair game for me to do so.

I like to think of it this way: Rules cant be retroactive, it just does not work. Therefore, I can keep it even if they make a rule as I did it BEFORE the rule came into effect. As of now I am not doing anything with it, it is done.

Look, either all rules have to be retroactive or none can be. If they all are then this would seem to get EVERYONE in trouble.

Look, the reason that I made this topic to ask is kinda because I am trying to get a ruling from an admin.

There is a solution that is NOT retroactive in enforcement, but I don't think you'd like it.

well, i will applaud your creativity, as i woulda never come up with the idea of trying to play music just through one's sig, but your logic for maintaining it is flawed...

unfortunately, you are assuming that there is something relating to a democratic state on this board/site...while the admins and mods are fair individuals, the fact remains that the webmasters have the power to give and the power to take, and they legally have the right to do so at their discretion...
