CN's rights to those series expired in the Summer of 2002. The only way to watch those shows again is to buy the DVDs.

Not to my knowledge.
And considering the current [as] "crisis", it may not ever be.

A crises a day, keeps the armagedon away.
Anyways... We will all mourn the days of the horribly butchered tenchi seris on CN.

We will?

When did this start. Outside of the screaming fanboys wanting to see Ryoko's nipples.

Tenchi started on Toonami. There's no problem with GXP hitting that block instead of [as]. Wink

And yes, GXP HAS been bought. FUNimation picked up the license long ago.

He meant "by Cartoon Network", judging from the context of the rest of his post.
Other, more passionate people, can debate the "Toonami placement vs. Adult Swim placement", if they wish.

What do you mean that it started on Toonami? Tenchi Muyo! was released on video in the U.S. first. I have Tenchi The Movie: Tenchi Muyo! In Love on VHS and at the end of the tape, they have a preview for Tenchi Universe. It says that it's going to be released on VHS in Fall '96. I seriously doubt Tenchi Muyo! has been airing on Cartoon Network that long since it wasn't broadcasted on Cartoon Network until Summer 2000, so what do you mean that it started on Toonami first?

Simple.
The US TV broadcasts first started on Toonami, so Daikun's assertion was that GXP and/or OVA 3 would go to Toonami if picked up by CN, as opposed to Adult Swim.

Ah, that's what I was confused about. Thanks for clearing that up for me. Yeah, Tenchi Muyo! GXP would be best airing on Toonami. It's not like the series is impossible to edit or anything like that.
