But what about me? I'm so lonely in this godforsaken desert. If you want DDR, I live an hour away from a Gameworks. Why can't there be other members who live in the same state as me.....and it's not New Mexico*coughzechscough*. _________________ There is limited intelligence in the galaxy, but the stupidity of the universe is infinite. |

Bah. That's no excuse. You must force them at glaive point. It really is the greatest thing in the world for some people (I know for me it is). Although it certainly osm't for everyone. Some people can't stand the music, just don't enjoy the moving around, or aren't physically capable of DDR. More pad time for me, though. _________________ This space left intentionally blank.

well, I don't know of any member who even lives on the east coast. I'm over here in Miami, with un-ending rain.

No idea but when we were in the Hotels in SF and LA Trigun was on at 10pm... |
Ahh, so it probably WAS satellite. Lots of hotels tend to use that.
I asked that because some satellite providers can allow you to watch stuff on TV up to 3 hours ahead of time. _________________ Toonami visual schedule - UPDATED AUGUST 2, 2015 |

Thanks for the welcome back makes me feel loved!
Anyway, what systems can you play DDR outside of an arcade with and are they as good? _________________ rednekbob9: 1: You're Female

YOu mean the console versions? DDR, DDR Disney Mix(can't figure out why they did that), and DDR Konamix for the PS and DDR Max for the PS2. There's an X-Box version coming soon as well.
Since I've never played the arcade versions, I can't compare them. But the console ones are awesome. _________________ Ice cream has this erotic sense to it- kinda like the one choclate and strawberries have.

The PS2 is the only half decent system (that and the PSX are the only systems that its on--as well as a short stint on the Dreamcast). All the versions for at-home are severely cut down (half of the 6th mix sound track was taken off for the PS2 version). My personal reccomendation is to get a PS2 to USB converter and find a copy of Stepmania with every song up to 7th Mix on Kazaa. The pads vary depending on what you get. MyMyBox has some pretty good ones, particularly thier 8-button rupper pad, and thier 6-button metal pad. The same applies to Red Octane. The next hard part is finding drivers that can handle a high sample rate and simultaneous left in right on its joystick input (as most PS2 conroller to USB converters will convert the D-Pad into joystick input).
Otherwise, I really wouldn't reccomend trying, as any pads less than rubber just aren't worth playing on, and the versions of DDR that have made it to console release are at best lacking. _________________ This space left intentionally blank.

I've heard that the X-Box version is going to be alot better than the PS2 one. _________________ "Veni. Vedi. Spooki." - Julius Caesar

I wouldn't commit to it until the reviews come out. It doesn't say at all whether there will be any older songs. All it says is "new songs," which will probably be released in 9th Mix anyway. And nowhere does it give an even approximate count of songs that will be on it. _________________ This space left intentionally blank.
