Um, I was looking at some videos and at the top of the screen it said:

We spotted the continuity-ish error in Toonami Opening 2001 before you! |
What does that mean? I never noticed anything wrong with it, is it a joke or inside joke? |

TOM takes the elevator down to the Bridge, which is on the top of the ship. _________________ My old sig was too long. |

As a big fan of Cartoon Network and Toonami I have to say...
That is not true! The Absolution had been halfway eaten by The Intruder and re-built, the bridge is probably set at a lower level than it was. The Absolution has many sections who knows where anything is?!
(Please keep in mind that I am not typing this angrily but with a smile on my face because that's my favorite opening. ) |

Very nice but that doesn't prove anything. An elevator can go up and down, who's to say Tom wasn't coming down from an upper level on the ship during the opening?
Elevators are like tubes that help you travel to different levels of a building. Imagine the Absolution as a three layered cake. The top is to watch in-flight movies, the middle is the bridge, and the bottom is the cargo. It's all in the design of the ship. |

He walked 15 feet from the elevator to the bridge. _________________ My old sig was too long. |

Perhaps you should watch some of the other clips, such as the opening from Summer 2001 when Tom rides the elevator down for quite some time before reaching the bridge. _________________ To do two things at once is to do neither. —Publilius Syrus, Roman slave, first century B.C. |

Its in space he's going up but due to the lack of gravity it looks like hes going down. It doesnt help he's listening to Aerosmith's love in an elevator at the same time. Which just confuses things even further. |
