..Herm, I think that Goku would go on some "no I can't kill you cause you that would be wrong..him and his morals then superman would get up from the spirit bomb and with his last ounce of energy would shoot those eye lasers through goku's moral driven heart and SM would die from exhaustion and goku...well he was shot through the heart..
Then I would come from behind a rock and stick a flag (american with my name at the bottom) and claim the land as america's and with 10% ownership...mine.
Maybe I should raise it to 99%...I mean I would've had to do the physical labor

I agree that this thread is immature (both characters are vastly overrated anyway, Green Lantern versus Yusuke Yurameshi, now there's a fight) but it's also annoying how nobody can seem to just answer the question at hand. No bringing in third parties until the matter has been discussed thoroughly. Yes, Pepito kicks much ass, but that doesn't really matter in the context of this thread, now does it?
In the DC universe, in Metropolis, Superman would win. His powers are more focused, and Goku wouldn't risk destorying a whole city with a Spirit Bomb or some crap. In the DBZ universe, on Namek or somewhere (there seems to never be a shortage of conveniently barren wastelands on that show) Goku would win. He has a seemingly endless amount of pure power, and doesn't have the strong conviction against killing that Superman has. Unless, of course, we are for some reason using the Golden Age Superman, who has a tendency to spontaneoulsy develop powers when they are necessary or convenient. But that's just silly.

Well if anyone here hasnt noticed that Goku ....is just the Japanise version of SUperman. Im not going into the details. As far as weakness go, Goku has none but Superman goes down at the site of a green rock. There was a joke about that I heard somewhere too.
Streanghts go, They both want to protect the inocent. Goku will be damnd if he's going to lose to someone, thing about. Besideds, Goku can take an energy attack with the streanght of a nuke, whats Supermans laser eyes gonna do? Give him a tan?

In theory, Superman could take far more than a nuke. Assuming he has roughly the same strength as Hyperion (the Squadron Supreme version of Superman), he could easily survive the impact of about 20 "daisy cutter" bombs, as Hyperion did. However, he does have another, more obscure weakness: magic. Assuming that the "energy" of DBZ is magical in nature, he's toast.
Green Lantern could kick both their asses anyway.

| nope "energy" in dbz isn't magic. otherwise who would bibbidy or bobbity or whatever his name was be so feared. He had no energy to speak of, all he had was "magic". |

*slightly off-topic* Has anybody read Kevin Smith's unused script for the movie "Superman Lives"? It was freaking weird. A few cool View Askew references in it too, for some reason. And it's even better if you've seen "An Evening with Kevin Smith," because he talks about the ridiculous crap the producer wanted to put in it, and you can actually see where he tried to impliment some of it. Try a Google search, it should come up.

Goku would easily win in my opinion, there was one episode on namek when King kai said Goku could travel at the speed of light...lol plus in my opinion goku is just a lot stronger the superman is in general.
but they wouldn't fight anyway...goku would get hungry and Superman being the rich guy he is will buy food for goku making it a tie...Goku gets to eat while Superman gets a kool sparring partner
