Finally! Athrun Zala just said "Damn"! This proves a slight change in the overall demographic! Furthermore, there was a scene later in the episode when Cagalli was quite....umm.....scantily clad compared to Toonami in the past. I know that one minor curse word and one somewhat racy scene isn't all that significant, but I believe this represents something. The demographic has finally changed some, just like most people predicted it would when Toonami switched to Saturday.
As for me, I believe Toonami should be a bit more like Adult Swim, and continue to grow further from Miguzi's demographic. |

"Damn" is nothing new. That word has been uttered on Toonami several times over the past few years.
It's likely just a slip-up that will be, like all other shows that uttered this word, censored in the later runs... That is, if there ARE any later runs, since the show is taking so damn long to complete. _________________ Toonami visual schedule - UPDATED AUGUST 2, 2015 |

Damn... What now?
This is nothing new for late night TV. "Damn" was commonly supptered during the Uncut Airing of Gundam Wing a few years back, like 5? _________________ -Ixidor |

Indeed it does.
It means Gundam SEED's days on Toonami are numbered. _________________ "When I became a man, I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up."- C.S. Lewis

Yeah, I was thinking about that, too. Although, it's kind of pointless for Toonami to change some stuff on SEED's last episode on Toonami Saturday. Heck, maybe it was just a slip-up. I considered this moment in Gundam SEED tonight a statement sying "Gundam SEED isn't just prettyboys saying family-oriented dramatic lines, crazy signing pop stars, and some mediocre animated mech battles." I thought it was strange, though, since the last time I heard cursing on non-Adult Swim cartoon network was when Sanosuke was learning "Futai no Kiwami" and said a couple minor words in the same sentence.
I cant wait for the return of Kenshin next week.....but was it really necessary to sacrifice the only Gundam series currently airing in the USA? (1:00 AM on Saturday is one of the worst blocks possible) |

No. 3-6am on a weekday is the worst block possible. At least all you have to do now is stay up a little late on Fridays. _________________ Bang. |
