Post subject: Justice League Xmas special = The apocalypse!

There's a preview pic of the upcoming Justice League Christmas special (airing this Saturday on CN) on Time-Warner's website.
It's scary. (Click on "TV" on the rotating graphics and wait for the 3rd picture to show up.)

According to the update that first mentioned this, Jonn(MM) is supposed to sing in this.

| Nice to hear they have a sense of humor sometimes. Its a christmas special its outside the continuity and is usally meant to be different. |

I dont know....it looks like the Christmas episode is part of the continuity of the whole season. It shows GL and HawkGirl all lovey-dovey still so it doesnt seem out of place.
Did someone say monkey....like the evil monkey that is in Chris' room from Family Guy. (He comes out with and evil look and his teeth grinding and just starts pointing at you.) You know, he wasnt always evil.
Flashback to monkey in a suit coming home
Monkey - "Hey, honey guess what? I made partner at work. Honey, where are you?"
Monkey goes up the stairs and into the bedroom. He opens the door and sees his wife with another monkey.
They all begin jumping and screaming
The monkey jumps back to the door with his evil grinding teeth and begins pointing!
AHH, i love Family Guy. If Adult Swim was nothing but Justice League, Family Guy, Yu YU Hakusho, and Sealab 2021 i would be happy.

I can't help but feel the DJ Rubber Ducky commercial was a parody on current toy commercials.
And I have to admit, this Christmas special was better than I thought it would.

The Christmas special was dandy. Super dandy. Except if my gf did what Hawk Girl did to GL in the bar, she'd be cut so damn fast . . .
But I liked seeing Superman trying to peek at what the presents were (showing his not-so-good-side) and the Ultra Humanite's desire to educate the masses.

| I loved Hawk Girls smile when she accused GL, it was pure classic. I think Flash and the Ultra Humanite stole the show in this episode. |

I have to admit it was better then i thought it would be. And that the flash rubber ducky story line caught me off guard. It wasnt in any of the commericals.
I saw the fighting and it was like "Oh hey it is going to be a normal episode". And i knew he wasnt goign to leave the duck alone. What he did to it was classic though. It also showed you what HawkGirl is really like. And what GL is getting himself in to.
My only problem with the martian/clark story line was they completly ignored the loss of his family. Supes should have been smart to leave him alone. But they did that part right. And its the second show this season to show Clark Kent being more then Superman. |
