Not even I'm that crazy...It would be cool, though.

It better be pioneer, wouldn't they have more chance at getting the original cast back together? Although didn't they do TiT but some of the originals weren't there...Grandpa and Kiyone spring to mind.

I liked the Pioneer dub ^^

No.
Pioneer Entertainment (USA division) is very dependent on whatever Pioneer LDC (Japan) produces. And since there's no Pioneer LDC involvement in the new series... Crying or Very sad
Throw in the fact that Pioneer's looking to sell off the LDC division, and the long-term future plans of Pioneer Entertainment start to become fuzzy. (I think they'll survive just fine)

The Pioneer reps at Fanime were of the opinion that FUNi was the most likely to pick it up (since they already had GXP). But nothing's certain yet.

How likely would they be to find the voice actors from the OVA/Universe? Didn't Toonami have to do a whole new recording session to put in the new dialogue with the cast when they got it? eg. sake --> tea etc.

It shouldn't be that difficult. FUNimation's trying to get them together for GXP, after all. A few phone calls to their agents, making a schedule, deciding whether to set up recording sessions in L.A. or fly them down to their studios in Ft. Worth, Texas...and voila! Problem solved! Wink

according to ANN:

Also of importance, Henry Goto [of Pioneer] stated that he does not expect Pioneer to acquire the new Tenchi OVAs.

A DivX rip of the OVA 3 opening, and some character pictures, can be found at this Angelfire site:

Beware of the bandwidth overloads... Wink

Hmm. I see what you mean.
Good thing I don't have to rely on that file to see it. Razz

Might have to look into other possible sources, like Ka*CHOO* Wink

:edit: Finally got it, it's a full 10 MB, one minute-thirty running time.
