FUNimation Acqures Slayers

Yes, that Slayers.
FUNimation announced at Anime Central that they have acquired the rights to Slayers/Next/Try in order to "maintain" the popular brand, as the former licensor's deal has expired.
Along with cleaning up the video and audio, they will be partially redubbing the existing release of the series to fix some lines or replace entire character VAs in some cases.
A new logo will be introduced for the relaunch of the series which will be in Fall or early '06.
No word yet on Slayers making it to Cartoon Network. FoxKids had the TV rights originally, but it seems that FUNimation now has that option.
