Sam Adams is a hero for being a lead member of hte Sons of Liberty and terrorizing the British 'oppressors'. Yet Al Quaeda are criminals. The revolutionaries who rose up and started this counrty are praised. Yet people who try to do the same today are tried for treason.

You must remember the corrective power of hindsight. History is written by the winners. In the case of the Sons of Liberty, they won. Thus, they must have been good and destined to win.
However, this was not the belief at the time. Sam Adams and his crew were seen as criminals in their day, just as Al-Quaida is today. The only way to find out who is justified is to take it to the bloody end.

I think a good reason organized religion is scary is all those Jehovah's witnesses that come to your house and are scary and make me want to hide under my bed til they go away... _________________ The problem with America is stupidity. I invite them in for tea, crumpets, and a marathon viewing of the Evil Dead series while singing Marilyn Manson's "Cake and Sodomy" over and over again...

Haha, I think JP has the right idea. Instead of avoiding these zealots, we should learn to have fun messing with their heads. _________________ anime is teh s uck

My Niehbor once seeked his German Shepard at Two of them and the dog came about an inch from biting one of the guys hand off. The next time they came to his house he opened the door with a shirt covered in what looked like blood and let them in. He had a plate of hamburgers on the table and offered them one. Then after they had taken started eating, one of them asked where his family was so they could talk to them too. Which he replied with...
"Oh, you're eating them right now"
They have never come back. _________________ Bang. |
