We got Nadesico on the sci-fi channel, although I missed the last to eps, it was so much fun to watch! _________________ rednekbob9: 1: You're Female

So which show do you think has the greatest chance of getting a timeslot? If any of them do? _________________ "I'm just very selective about the reality I choose to accept." - Calvin

Wait: so Cartoon Network is showing Rated M material at 4:30 in the afternoon??? They are getting soooo sued. |
They'll edit it down to TVY7. Which means no blood splattering, no bad language, etc. _________________ "Robots don't say 'ye'."

If ADV has the rights to these shows, and they are/will be on The Anime Network, why air them on another channel like CN?
Maybe it's a marketing scheme: show us only two eps on CN to let us get hooked, and then make us get The Anime Network or the DVDs to see the rest. _________________ "Robots don't say 'ye'."

somehow I doubt that beef. I don't think CN would let themselves be dooped like that. it's one thing for them to do it for another network that Turner owns, but they wouldn't pimp a show for a rival network created to take CN's audience away. _________________ "Veni. Vedi. Spooki." - Julius Caesar

That may give ADV an advantage, but what advantage would CN have in doing so? It would be taking away CN viewers, unless the new anime network is owned by Time Warner AOL, in which caser it would be good for all. _________________ anime is teh s uck

Add to the fact that it's ON DEMAND, and we complicate the issue. My bet is the CN won't be walking away without at least one of these fine shows. |

Dai-Guard, because EVA is a better fit for AS. |

I say Dai-Guard too. I own all of Nadescio and Robotech. And if I feel like it my friend will let me borrow NGE. _________________ "I'm just very selective about the reality I choose to accept." - Calvin

If we're just going by actual odds of one of these shows landing on Toonami rotation, I'd have to pick Robotech +2 (Chiiiiiiiiick!). I hope that we've (at least not many) not forgotten that my beloved Super Dimensional Fortress Macross and other plane-transforming-into-giant-robot show (Southern Cross & Genesis Climber Mospeada) dub was one of the original shows to air on this fabulous programming block. Sure, the show isn't as flashy as the others up for consideration, but CN already has (at least I think they still do) the right to the entire series, so this route has the least red tape to get through. It's because of this that I think we'll be seeing Robotech again.
*True or False: Macross, Southern Cross, and Mospeada originally had nothing to do with each other, but were crammed together for the US dub to make Robotech. (No, really, true or false? I've heard both versions, so I'd like to know for real.) _________________ Rycel's Death Count on this board: 7

True, and this created alot of plot holes and missing eps because of what they cut. _________________ Bang. |

Im definitly going to have to go with Dai-Guard also. It is the most suitable for the younger audience. It will pull in loads of little kids and will require the least ammount of editing of the three. _________________ Look i changed my sig!

Wow. If my day hadn't been ruined by Columbia yesterday, I would have been estatic. But now it's ok. I'm quite excited by this annoucement, especially for Eva. I know it's silly to ask, but has anyone heard anything about the edit standards for CN? I know an interview with one of the censors which listed the things they edit was posted on ANN awhile back, but I can't seem to remember what was said.
Oh, and this annoucements makes me so excited I want to
