Meh, I would have bumped it anyway.
Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-oh-oki Episode 3 (or 16, however you prefer) has been bumped back to March 27th, so no info until then...except there's lots of Noike, hot springs and another visitor drops in.
And Tenchi Muyo! GXP's US release date is this Tuesday, my copy is waiting at the post office for my return home. _________________ "When I became a man, I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up."- C.S. Lewis

Not in the U.S...yet...
:add: Of course, miss a week, and miss out on news. GXP's website is now live with character info, storylines, all the good stuff...and unfortunately, some bad stuff as well:
Quote:
--The Original Tenchi Muyo! Dub Cast--
Throughout the past twelve months, many of you asked about the voice actors for the original Tenchi Muyo! Dub. The Tenchi Muyo! GXP dub was produced in California by Red Shift. The producers and director tried very hard on this request. They personally contacted the voice actors for reprising their roles. Unfortunately, many of the voice actors were contacted but declined the offer for reprising their role.
Ryo-Ohki - Debi Derryberry; Contacted but declined. She is now voicing Jimmy Neutron
Washu Hakubi - Unable to find KT Vogt
Tenchi Masaki - Matt Miller was willing to perform the role but was not available until some time in 2004. (production began in August 03 and wrapped in December 03)
Sasami Jurai - Katie Ashley or Sherry Lynn; Contacted but declined
Kastuhito Masaki - Bob Papenbrook; Contacted but declined
Ryoko Hakubi - Unable to find Petrea Burchard
Ayeka Jurai - Jennifer Darling ; Contacted but declined
Mihoshi Kuramitsu; Rebecca Forstadt has been cast
Azusa Jurai; Unable to find John DeMita
So, that question's answered. _________________ "When I became a man, I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up."- C.S. Lewis

I can understand VAs being too busy to come back to their Tenchi roles, but the others who simply declined better have a damn good reason!

Do you find it odd that they were unable to find both Washu and Ryoko?

Especially since Petrea Burchard's e-mail address is easy to find. _________________ "When I became a man, I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up."- C.S. Lewis

I bet you thought that I was thinking something inapropriate, you were wrong if that is the case. _________________ You're An Inu (Dog)!

I'm not sure you are capable of thinking at this point. Anyways, that sucks not getting the original VA's, but I wasn't really interested in GXP so oh well. _________________ There is limited intelligence in the galaxy, but the stupidity of the universe is infinite.

well when they dubbed the EVA movies (listened to the commentary) they said a lot of original voice actors had simply seemed to drop off the edge of the earth when they wanted them back...
Isn't it odd that Cartoon network can ge the cast to re-record a script for a few edits but they can't do a new episode? _________________ rednekbob9: 1: You're Female

Meh. It's only one episode...now when OVA 3 gets picked up, maybe they could be per$uaded to come back.
Although some of them have Union cards on the line, that's a valid reason for them to decline to participate in a non-union job, esp. someone high-profile like Debi Derryberry or Jennifer Darling.
On the other hand, in the case of someone like Bob Papenbrook declining to reprise his role, at least there's John Smallberries to take his place.
:add: Speaking of the GXP cast, here's the list that FUNimation posted on the website. I boldfaced the original TM! characters:
