Diamond Previews January: The Diamond Previews site for titles shipping sometime around January has been updated. Of note for previously unknown or unsolicited titles as of yet are:
Regarding Macross, in addition to producing an English dub and re-translating the subtitles, ADV has also announced that they've gotten Mari Iijima to reprise her role as Minmei for the English language adaptation. Mari's presence in the new dub is the first time a Japanese voice actress has reprised the same role for the English language adaptation of a series.
In addition to reprising the role, Mari will be part of a number of extras for the release that will cover her time during the original Japanese production and several behind the scenes looks at the new English language production. A number of other extras are planned as well including potentially some commentaries.
- Now before you ask, she is apparently fluent in English, having lived and worked in the US since 1989, so no worries.
:add 10/26/05:
Some other notable animated titles are also being solicited in Previews (and thanks to www.animatedbliss.com for the known release dates):

TV Shows On DVD reports that insiders in WB's Home Entertainment division are planning to release DVD box sets of Animaniacs and Pinky & The Brain in mid-2006. The sets are said to be multi-disc sets, featuring over two dozen episodes each, going either by season volumes or as a "favorites" collection.
Nothing has been officially announced by WB at this point, but TV Shows On DVD says to expect a press release within a few months if all goes well. _________________ Toonami visual schedule - UPDATED AUGUST 2, 2015

Bandai Visual comes to the US... could it bring Gunbuster with them?
.
.
.
Please?
At a press conference in Beverly Hills today (12/05/2005), Bandai Visual USA announced the details behind their new North American release label, Honneamise.
In a partnership with DVD distributor Image Entertainment, Bandai Visual announced today that their new American subsidiary, Bandai Visual USA, is launching a new DVD label called Honneamise, which will be releasing DVDs of Bandai Visual films to the North American release market.
The label, named for Gainax and Bandai Visual's groundbreaking 1987 animated film Wings of Honneamise, will focus on providing both standard edition releases and feature-packed limited editions. At the press conference, it was mentioned that Image Entertainment distributed the Criterion Collection laserdiscs; Honneamise will be using the Criterion Collection template as a guide for the quality of their releases.
As of press time, only two titles had been officially announced, although the possibility of more was hinted at several times. The first two titles from Honneamise will be Patlabor: The Movie and Patlabor 2: The Movie. Both films will be released in a standard disc-only release and a special edition that will include, according to the press release, "exclusive packaging illustrations by Yutaka Izubuchi, remastered 5.1 audio channel, a new English-dubbed audio track, a making of documentary, Japanese trailers and TV commercials, the complete 300-page storyboard book drawn by Mamoru Oshii with an English translation, and a second book that includes past interviews, articles, artwork and drawings."
Final release details will be made available early next year. Patlabor: The Movie is scheduled for release on April 25, 2006, with the second film following in the summer.
Image also announced that they'd be working in a number of ways with Bandai Visual USA, including the possible release of Bandai Visual's live action films, and perhaps even co-productions in both live action and animated formats. _________________ "When I became a man, I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up."- C.S. Once again from TV Shows on DVD comes more 'toons from the 80's:
C.O.P.S.!
Quote:
Using their various powers The Central Organization of Police Specialists fights crime in Empire City in the year 2020. The square-jawed, tough-talking cartoon C.O.P.S. aired every weekday afternoon during the 1988-1989 television seasons. With its dead-on action and humor, it became an instant hit with kids and parents, launching a popular line of action figures, vehicles and gadgets as well as inspiring its own comic book. Now, the cult favorite is back from Shout! Factory and in stores on February 28th, 2006 for a suggested retail price of $34.98. Sure to whet fan's appetites, the 4-Disc set features 22 original episodes packed with special features including original sketch & concept art for the C.O.P.S., the crooks, the vehicles and Empire City, rare painted concept art for selected episodes, storyboard-to-screen: The C.O.P.S. opening title sequence and "C.O.P.S. for Kids" - original PSAs aimed at children, starring your favorite C.O.P.S. and crooks.
Which now begs the question: Where's M.A.S.K. ? _________________ "When I became a man, I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up."- C.S. Lewis

zomg double-posting wtf!!!11!
Following up some info I read at Anime on DVD's forums, I went to Suncoast this afternoon while waiting for my The World's Fastest Indian showtime (good movie BTW ), and saw that Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid Vol. #1 (also with box option) was available for pre-order with a scheduled release date of May 9, 2006.
No info available on who the licensor is, but I'll assume that it's ADV until someone else claims it.
Also, not animated but some are interested, the webcomic "Megatokyo" changes publishers (again!), this time to CMX Manga, starting with Vol. #4 scheduled for June 2006.
